  1. Hello,

My family just booked a villa for our time at Great Stirrup Cay.  This is our 6th NCL cruise, so we thought we'd try something new.  We've watched the videos, but we are just wondering if anyone has any tips or recommendations to get the most out of our time there.  It will me be me, my wife, our 14 and 11 year old sons, and another couple with a 13 year old .  Their daughter.  Thanks in advance for any input.

  2. My son has severe peanut and tree nut allergies.  He will be taking his 4th NCL cruise this July.  We always have our TA contact them prior to boarding.  We also check in with the place where you can make specialty reservations after boarding.  We've been told to stay away from the buffet, so he doesn't eat there (other than the ice cream without a cone).  You can either meet with a concierge each day and plan out the meals, or just alert your waiter when ordering.  They will bring them to you no matter where the rest of the family eats including specialty restaurants.  We are always asked who has the allergy when we check in to the main dining hall, and we make the staff aware.  They have been AWESOME!  Desserts are obviously problematic, but we have had great waiters who will have the chef making something special.  If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

  3. My family just got off the Encore in March.  Beautiful ship.  Make sure you book your shows and specialty dining as soon as you get the chance.  It fills up quickly.  We like to go to the box office as soon as we get on to book the comedians because you can't do that ahead of time.

  4. Our son has peanut/tree nut allergies.  We just got of the Bliss last week.  We just let them know when we arrived the first day about the allergies.  They gave us the option of preordering, but it wasn't an issue if we just ordered when we arrived.  We just always let them know when we dined, and they always acted like they already knew.  The menu even had allergens listed next to foods which I don't remember from the last time we cruised.  We felt like they took it very seriously.

  5. I just booked with this company with the Toursaver coupon, and they didn't make us have any more people. They just quoted us a price in the email, and I called them and booked. I noticed that requirement too, but they didn't seem to enforce it.

  6. I was noticing July wasn't a great time to get extras. I'm neither a senior nor in the military. If I use a code, will they check on me?

Also, is it cheaper to book directly through Carnival, or should I use an agent. I've worked with go away travel in the past and really liked them for our all inclusive trips, but I wasn't sure if a cruise would be the same.

  7. Hello,

My wife and I are new to cruising (we had one booked for this past summer and had to cancel). We are thinking about taking the conquest in July 2009 as well as some other options. My question is, does anyone know of any discount codes or ways to get some onboard credits? We are in research phase and trying to find the best deal. Any help is greatly appreciated.
