  1. I was using mu olympus waterprook camera. And although I don't have any cruise pistures with my new cam I would highly suggest the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-zs3. It is absoulutely the best point and shoot I have ever owned! It just came out last year and is sold out everyewhere so you have to get it online. It is just WOW. Check out the detail and superzoom of my cat

Wow, I am just blown away by all these photos! I need to know what cameras you all are using.

I really love the moon photo that is shining down and the group photo on the balcony, that is super cool.

I am noticing something that some of the most beautiful photos are coming from Half Moon Cay. Boy oh Boy, I can't wait to get there!!

  2. AND we have a winner folks!

    hahahahaha, I LOVE it!

My Dad....... being silly with a big between his legs. I guess while on vacation you do act a little less inhibited.... and this was after all his first time in San Juan Puerto Rico, or on a cruise for that matter.:D

  3. Well I got a 1A port hole, but it is not classified as PT, it is classified as 1A. Now the stateroom next to me is strictly classified as PT, but no number category...hmmm

PT is the category, used to be a 5A, then they mixed them in with the insides, now they are pulled out as PTs. Every class ships except spirit has them as PTs. PTs are port holes.

I had one last January and booked one for next January. Look on the deck plans, you should be able to see them. Only on first two decks on Conquest class ships, so maybe you just missed them?

  4. Going back to this post.....how do you book a PT? What category is it listed as? On bookccl it also states it is PT, but no category....perplexed..

GOOD NEWS for you!! 1206 is not a 1A it is a PT category (1 up from a 1A) and has two twins or a king!! It is 220 sq. ft. as opposed to the 185 sq. ft. of most cabins.

I believe the layout is the same as the pictures only the cabin would be longer fitting in two beds where the other pictures shows one.

This pic shows the two beds as a king.

  5. You got me excited, but I just checked and it is 1204, but I do not care, I am just as stoked that I got portholes!!!

  6. Sweet, ok, well I am on the riviera deck, 1206? and my layout appears to be the same. looks VERY nice! I LOVE the floor to ceiling curtains, gives the illusion of a large window or balcony for that matter.!

Funny story, I was on the panorama deck in a 1A handicap, but they needed it and "upgraded" me to a 4B. When I checked open cabins on a "certain website" it showed 2 available 1 a's. Mind you there have been none open for MONTHS. One of them was a porthole room, the other one was one of the other handicap rooms (why did they need mine?). I called and they, for the life of them, could not understand why I wanted a "downgrade". Needless to say, they were happy to give it to me.

I am guessing that my portholes will be deeper? Not positive but since I am one deck lower and more forward than you I would assume this. I wonder if they will have a lot of salt water deposit on them?

So excited any which way you slice it!

Hey there Dingo - I'm one of your step-siblings on the April 24th Dream cruise. I too have a porthole room and am excited about it. I'm in 2217 with a single bed and convertible couch. The following pictures are from Room 2211, which is next to the room I am in and the same configuration.

  7. We had a group of 12 and it was fantastic. I will do the steakhouse more than once on every cruise. It's worth it for the food and the ambiance. There are no banging plates and you don't have to scream to talk to each other. Worth every sincle cent, and I would do it all 7 days...

Thanks for all of the feedback. I will probably skip the steakhouse this upcoming cruise as we will be a group of 5. Plus there's one cheapskate in our group who wouldn't want to do it .

Sounds like it might work out better with just 2.
