Available in the buffet at dedicated Vegan counter, Vegan cakes with Soy milk always available.
Other products need checking sometimes I.E. biscuits for cheese some are vegan.
Vegan ice cream sold in ice cream station at skydome says Vegan on the label

Hi we have just returned from the Canaries on Iona, My wife is vegan and agrees with most of your comments. There are Vegetarian/Vegan sausages available in the Buffet but you have to ask they keep them separate behind the counter. We ate in the limelight twice. Sindhu twice vegan options much better but you have to pay more.
We have been on Arvia which has more options. The American diner included in cost has some nice Vegan options, Also Quays has a Vegan roast option. There is a dedicated Plant based venue extra cost but very nice,
My wife ate a lot of Chips, Salad and cheese and biscuits on IONA and a lot of cakes. Lovely ice cream in skydome but costs extra.
We are trying Princess next hopefully better Vegan options.

For any one travelling from London weekend 15th-18 March 24 I have seen today that the M25 is closed all weekend both sides Junction 10 to 11.
Highways agency advising severe delays. Web site stated closure from 9pm Friday 15th.

Hi just copied this from PO website,
Telephoning the ship
If any of your family or friends need to contact you while you are on board, they can do so by phoning: 0800 917 1584 (from the UK only) – they will need to provide their credit card details. They will then be prompted to provide the ship name, as well as your name and cabin number. Their call will then be directed to your cabin. Only upon connection with the ship will charges commence. Calls are a standard £3.00 per minute. If calling from outside of the UK, they should dial 001 732 3353264 (the same procedure will apply). There will be an American call charge for this number in addition to the £3.00 per minute call charge. If you are not in your cabin at the time of the call, a message will be taken and delivered to your cabin.

Hi I cancelled my 14 Night booking Island Princess as reason for booking was longyearbyen,
The change in itinerary at the time was 5 days in the north sea with a stop in Newcastle.
No thank you.
Disappointed. I lost £100 deposit. Booked PO Arvia to the med September instead.
I feel the same that Princess had no intention of going to Longyearbyen.

I know I will ask tomorrow to my insurance company to see if I’m covered for cruises I have very expensive comprehensive insurance but like I said Belgians just don’t usually cruise they ski.
Can you ask who she will arrange her insurance through if you don’t mind?
many thanks.
Hi Sherrjo, I have not spoken to my sister about insurance yet we will sort that out before final payment date.

Morning all.
I rang PO this AM as I have booked my sister on Iona for May 2023 through their web site, and she lives in Belgium. I was told 100% no issues with this booking. She will arrange her own insurance.

Hi the link works ok for myself. See below copied from link.
Changes ahead for Svalbard cruises
New regulations have already been proposed to limit the environmental impact of cruise traffic in the fragile Arctic ecosystem around Svalbard.
Cruise ships in the Arctic waters around Svalbard will soon be subject to new regulations.
VW PICS/UNIVERSAL IMAGES GROUP VIA GETTY IMAGESBecause emergency preparedness becomes more difficult the farther north cruise ships sail, the commission’s report recommended several more restrictions, including a capacity limit of no more than 750 on cruise ships sailing in Svalbard waters.
The recommendations are likely to prove controversial among the travel industry and the 2,500 local residents on Svalbard. As coal mining has all but disappeared, the main settlement Longyearbyen largely relies on tourism to drive its economy. Cruise ships fueled by heavy bunker oil have been banned from Svalbard since the turn of the year.
A “solid base” for future work
Despite the importance of the tourism industry, Norway has a track record of introducing restrictions on cruise ships. The country previously adopted a resolution to only allow zero-emission cruise ships and ferries to sail in its UNESCO World Heritage listed fjords (Geirangerfjord and Nærøyfjord) by the mid-2020s.
How many of the commission’s recommendations are introduced remains to be seen. “I am aware that we must have a solid preparedness both at sea and on land. This analysis gives us a solid knowledge base for developing emergency preparedness further, said Norway’s minister of justice and emergency preparedness Emilie Enger Mehl, when receiving the 164-page report.

Hi all. Booked Island Princess for July 2023 when first available. From what I have read so far I am concerned that: Longyearbyen could be cancelled and this is the main reason we booked. Forbes article says that all ships using bunker oil are banned ???? Does Island use bunker oil ?????????.

Hi all just returned from Ventura today, the mask wearing not a lot of hassle only when walking about no big deal. My issue is incubation period of covid is quoted as about 6-7 days. The day of embarkation we were held in Mayflower terminal with at least 2000 other passengers for about an hour. All sat next to each other a Covid paradise. The air bridge was faulty. A week into the cruise Covid appears. Coincidence ?????. 2000 passengers a lot of terminal staff all crammed in together.

I have just spent no more than 10 minutes on the phone from ringing to competition refareing my cruise for 2023.
Noticed a price drop of £800 on total price for 2. Rang paid admin fee of £100 and saved £722.
Same cabin re booked with same extras, only difference was $50 less onboard credit. $200 instead of $250
So happy customer here. Artic circle July 2023 Island Princess.

@mark36 - thinking that P&O will not have sold 100% passenger capacity and that ship will be only 50% to 75% full. Do you have any idea on this?
Hi I have no idea of capacity but have a look at the balcony prices at the moment they either have not sold a lot or are looking to fill it up just my guess.
