We were just off Regal last Sunday & we had embarkation lunch in Alfredo's - wonderful! International Cafe is open 24/7 with very nice options, too.
-
There are 2 dedicated bathrooms so no running down to the spa or elsewhere - love having it right there!

We probably would have not noticed that much or even
remembered the guy if he had not been so ugly & loud &
insistent that his whole party board with him. He was
very rude to the Princess rep & made a big scene about
it. I try not to judge others as you do never know what's
going on, but when someone is so blatantly rude & demanding
& treats the rep the way this guy did, you can't help but notice.
I'm sure most people that need extra help, really need it &
probably treat those around them with respect. This guy
definitely did not.
ar1950 - thanks for the link to the article!

We were in the Preferred boarding line up to go into the building to get our cruise cards & had been standing in line for about 1 hour or so.
A man came up to the front of the line with his whole party (wife plus 4 or 5 others) and wanted to cut into the front of the line
due to his foot being in a boot. He had words with the guy manning the line because he wanted his whole party to cut into the front of the line.
No dice, but he did let this man & his wife through.
Have no issues when someone has a physical handicap & needs special attention, but here comes the kicker ---
saw the same guy 2 days later running to catch the elevator & absolutely no boot on his foot or problem moving quickly.
Guess he either had a miraculous recovery on the ship;) or he was scamming the system to go to the front of the line without having to wait his turn:(
My husband has a pet peeve about people cutting in line, but the guy got out of the elevator before he could say something to him (maybe a good thing!).
We're at Elite level with Princess and I lurk on cruise critic, but rarely comment or post, but wanted to see if anyone had ever witnessed anything like this.
We had a wonderful cruise on the Regal Princess. I'm planning to post our impressions soon. Happy cruising:)

So delightful! This is one of my bucket list cruises & can't wait to read
it all - especially in your story telling way:)

We were in M107 first week of December for a Caribbean cruise & absolutely loved this location. I would think it's just as wonderful as the Lido deck. It was true we couldn't use our balcony while underway most of the time, but sailing into & out of ports was spectacular! It was one of the side mini suites with extra room & we'd never seen or had a balcony as huge as this one. We are "aft" people but wanted to give this a try & loved it! Our steward told us this was one of the best cabins as it was the size of a suite, but sold as a mini suite. The location was also very quiet & quick to get to the pool decks. It was a hike to the International Cafe, tho;) - had to work for our morning treats!

We were on the Regal the week after Thanksgiving & got the Sanctuary for the whole week. They did do the tea service going chair to chair. We had some of the best service and enjoyed talking with the guys that worked this area. We also really liked having dedicated bathrooms in the Sanctuary - yes, call me lazy;)
I also liked the floor covering a lot more than the green carpet!
It was wonderful - hope you get it!

We sailed the Regal the week after Thanksgiving & absolutely loved it. The Piazza area is fabulous - so open & pretty & large. We really enjoyed Alfredo's as a sit down dining experience with no charge. We don't go to the dining room often & like having another alternative. We also had the best meal ever at the Crown Grill. We always do this on all our cruises & the food this time was wonderful - best steak ever. We loved the new Horizon court with all the choices and loved that the pastry shop was by itself.
The MUTS screen is so clear. We watched football & movies & enjoyed that. We also loved the on demand movies & shows on the in room tv.
The new shows were fabulous. I was able to drag my husband to all of them since they were new!
The only thing we didn't like was the Princess Live venue. There was not enough room for popular things - like the marriage game show (go early if you want a seat) and no place to put your drink down. We prefer Explorers Lounge, but it's a small thing.
These are just a few of our observations. We cruised over Christmas on the Ruby and have to say we missed the Piazza area on the Regal, but the Ruby was more like going home to an old friend!

We had a 10:20 am flight on Dec 27 and made it with time to spare. It was not our choice as the airline had changed our flight time, but we chose to keep this time instead of leaving later in the afternoon.
We chose the first walk off group & got to our designated area 30 minutes early and sat near the door where we would be disembarking. We were in the first 6 people to walk off & made it through customs and to the taxi line very quickly. There were lots of taxis lined up & no wait.
It was nice to get to the airport ahead of the crowd & be at our gate & ready to leave with plenty of time to spare - think we made it by 8:30 or sooner to our gate having checked in & gone through security.
I realize that if customs had not been cooperative, it could have resulted in a much different experience, but everything was fine for us.

KCSungirl - Thanks for a wonderful read on a New Year's Eve of football;)
We spent our 25th wedding anniversary on a land trip to Moorea & Bora Bora and your posts have brought back many fond memories. Love your writing style and had to read your "pontification" on travel out loud to my DH!! We loved it!
Happy New Year & happy travels!

Well - did a search before posting my question and now see there's another similar question already here - most recent thread came up from 2012 - so sorry for not looking closer before posting:)
-
Have researched this on resort for a day website and price is $85 per person with all inclusive drinks ($65 without). Wondering if anyone has done this recently and if you enjoyed the experience. We'll be in St Thomas on Christmas Eve and looked for relaxing experience. Would have to taxi from Crown port area.
Thanks in advance for any info!

So very sorry for your loss - what a beautiful girl.
It's so difficult to lose a beloved pet, but hopefully in time you'll
remember more of the joy she brought to you rather than the pain
of the loss.
God Bless!

On our last cruise (Emerald Princess 10 day in March), we tipped extra cash on the last night to a lovely server from Peru that we had interaction with in Club Fusion & the International Cafe. She accepted graciously, but said what would really help would be if we recognized her service in our comments to Princess which we made sure we did.
It seems this may be important for the crew also.

Did you use the Sanctuary? Do you happen to know the cost for the whole cruse?
thanks:)
-
Is there smoking on the starboard or port side at the aft section
of the ship? If you had a that balcony on the port side, would you
smell smoking?
thanks
-
I've looked at the deck plans & don't see it on the Emerald Princess, but hoping she has it & it's just not updated on the Princess site.
Love Alfredo's & hoping it'll be there!
Thanks for info.:)

I'm loving your review & check everyday for updates as my husband & I are sailing the 10 day Southern Caribbean on the Emerald in less than 40 days!!
Can't wait for more from you!
Thanks for a wonderful review - fun to read with great photos!:)
-
Does anyone know if you can use a credit card for payment?
thanks!
-
Loved, loved, loved reading your review - thanks for posting!
And congratulations!
-
I appreciated your comments & views on the Sanctuary as this is one of
our favorite parts of Princess cruising - was wondering about how big it
seems & having cabanas with tv's - we like the quiet!
-
We're going to be in the exact same suite on the Crown end of November
and so excited to see your pictures of the balcony. We love, love the aft balconies & that one looks wonderful.
Thanks for your review & pictures!:)
Aft cabins Regal Princess
in Princess Cruises

Baja aft balconies are half covered/half uncovered. We've sailed in a cabin aft on Baja & didn't notice much vibration at all - at least none that bothered us. Dolphin balconies are also half & half.
