Received a nice form letter from BofA informing me that they cut my credit limit from $17,000. to $500. In the past I would have to call to get my limit lowered. And they wondered why I am not using it as much now. I called and asked them how far I could travel on $500.

Just got a survey basically asking why I was unisng another card rather than the Worldpoints card that the NCL was changed to.

Does one certificate cover both people in a cabin or only one?

I went with the Schwab Visa which pays a flat 2% deposited into their brokerage account. I can take that money and use toward a cruise on any line. And there is no $1,000 per year cap.

No! I had not contacted them...just patiently waited.

Today I received my 3 $500. certificates and 3 of the 100 point upgrade certificates. The cover letter said that I had 1,739 points as of 12-31-2008. The letter was postmarked yesterday with a return address of: PO Box 32624, Charlotte, NC 28232-2634

So I am clear now.

But the best part is this sentance taken from the cover letter:

"This new rewards program will enable you to redeem your points for even better NCL rewards than ever before."

Wonder how they arrived at that conclusion?

What genius at BofA decided to mail the cash certificates and upgrade certificates separately -- doubling their mailing cost.

I wonder of anyone at BofA is following this post? How about any of the travel writers? Seems to be a major blunder by BofA. Anyone remember how great MBNA was?

Just got off the phone with BofA. They have no idea what is going on with the conversion to WP. From 1-2 till my statement closed on 1-28 I had $459.00 in net purchases and received only 20 WPs. By their statement I should have received 459 points. They could not explain.

Then the rep looked back at my 12-27 statement which showed $3594.00 in net purchases and was confused that I only received 108 points. WP would have yielded 3594 points. I had to explain that you multiply net purchases by .03 to get the Compass points. In the past I would usually earn 100 Compass points per month.

I am waiting to receive my 3 $500 certificates plus whatever else they give. But I am through with WP. Just received the Schwab 2% card this week. And I have a Chase card that pays 3% unlimited on gas, groceries and drug store.

Keep in mind that the Hilton HHonors points can be used for Carnival cuises. But it takes quite a number of points.

I've lost the link for purchasing the $1.00 coins and is there a way to charge Visa/MC gift cards using the Compass M/C?

In the rules it says the credits cannot be used towards the deposit.
