  1. We were on the AmaLegro in August. As noted. You will need an adapter and power strip. There's never enough outlets for phones/tablets etc. Plus you have the audio system for tours that needs to be charged. So that's another device that takes up an outlet.

As far as the internet goes it's free but SLOW plus if you have any home security video or webcams/skype. Those ports are blocked and you won't be able to access them. We have a petcam that lets us check up on our dogs while away. It didn't work on the ship.

Maybe the fact that wine and beer is only available at meal times explains why dinner lasts 2 plus hours and is incredibly noisy???? I realise a lot of passengers have hearing isues, my own wife does, but it is VERY noisy in the dinning room.

One last item. If you have a chance, take a tour with Lexi as your guide. She's a hoot! She's an American who lives in Paris and quite a character.

Enjoy your cruise. It's a great trip! Make sure you get on the top deck as you leave Paris. You'll get a great view of the tower all lit up and see the Statue of liberty close up too.

  2. So if you're correct, which I'm sure you are as to what you were told, then the price to upgrade has snuck up $1. Maybe they felt like it could fly under the radar in the middle of all the other changes. With the 18% gratuity it would now be $12.98 per person, per day to upgrade.

Hopefully we as consumers will see something official on this soon.

Quite possibly. They did say that the prices for Go Big, Better, Best included the 18% grats. So the $11.00 should as well. But don't bank on that as I didn't get a chance to cover that question with them.

  3. Don't know the answer but will be interested to know too. We had Chip on Connie last December - GREAT Butler Loved him! We are on the Eclipse T/A too ( ncgael) on that roll call. If he is on this trip say hi from us. We are in a lowly Sky suite on the stern this time :-( OK who am I kidding it's still great!!! See you aboard.

  4. I was on the Reflection T/A in the spring and can confirm that if you pull the existing HDMI feed out from the side of the TV and replace with your own HDMI feed. It will work. The only thing that doesn't work s the volume control on the remote. So set the volume BEFORE pulling the cable. We used our tablet and an HDMI cable plus a bluetooth speaker to watch Game of Thrones recordings. The bluetooth speaker had it's own volume control and that circumvented using the TV speakers. Never had a problem re-plugging the ships HDMI back after we'd watched our shows.
