  1. Good Morning!

Curious if anyone has watched Royal's cruise planner and noticed if/when they run sales.  Hubby is going to want the beverage plan for our Allure sailing.  We have lots of time before December, but I know I'll forget to keep checking on a regular basis.  Do they tend to run sales around various holidays or is it completely random?

Thanks for the guidance and have a great weekend!

  2. We are traveling with another couple. The hubbys drink and the wives don't. So I booked the men in one cabin (for the drink package) and the women in the other cabin (for the dining package).

(And NO, I didn't do this to cheat NCL for free drinks. I simply don't drink at all and didn't want to waste the perk or pay the $100 service charge for something I absolutely won't use.)

So my question is can we get the this switched around once on board? Or will we just be limited to one working key card to get into our cabins?

    Thanks all!

  3. Just for reference, we walked off Escape Saturday February 11th at 7:25 am. At Miami airport at 8:05 am. 9:30 flight, we made it with time for coffee and bathroom break!

Hi Jim - sounds like we are taking the same flight! Can you tell me what time you got in line and where? Does Miami airport have curbside luggage check? Thanks so much!

  4. Not a problem with easy walk off. In December, without any announcements, we left our cabin @ 7:32. we exiting the aft gangway. There was nobody there. Zero, not a soul, expect for the security checking you off the ship one last time. There were 3 customs agents, 2 which had nobody to check. We were in a taxi @ 7:45. I timed it. It's the easier quickest disembarkation we've ever experienced, anywhere.

I should note that we've sailed out of Maimi a lot. Using the aft gangway,(right next to the aft elevator bank), probably had a lot to do with it. We didn't go through O'sheehan's like the forward passengers do. We also were exiting into terminal C. We've always disembarked through terminal B on other ships, and I assume that's where the forward gangway dropped you off.

We're sailing the Escape again in February. If anything changes I'll post again.

Just wondering where the aft gangway is located. What deck is it on? Did you have a similar experience with your February cruise? Thanks for the info! :)

  5. So our flight options were limited and we fly out at 9:30 am. I know this sounds crazy, but I'm hoping for the best since we carry our own luggage off and hop in a cab.

Is there a Global Entry line to clear customs in Miami? We did have one in FLL this year. Also, on what deck is the aft exit located?

    Thanks for the guidance!

  6. I'd love some detail on the disembarkation process. We're doing the same itinerary in April and I have an early flight.

    • What time did the ship get back into FLL?
    • What was the order for getting off the ship? Did the self-assist go off before the suite/FTTF group?
    • Was there a Global Entry line to clear customs?

Thanks for much for sharing your experiences with us! :)

  7. I just got off the Conquest on Jan 23rd. We had FTTF and we self-disembarked. We met in the Renoir dining room at 06:45 and were let off the ship after the special needs, diamonds and plats. We zipped through customs and we hopped in a taxi for the airport at 07:25.

That's amazing! Did your cruise have an arrival time of 8:00 am back into FLL? Does the FTTF group disembark before the regular self-assist group?

When we did self-disembark on the Breeze, it was absolute chaos. If FTTF removes that stress and gets us off the ship quicker, I'm all in.

    Thanks again!

  8. I'm curious about this process since I have a 10:10 flight.

If all goes well and the stars align, does the process begin at 8:00 am or possibly earlier? Is there a Global Entry line to clear customs in the cruise terminal?

What is the quickest way to depart the ship? We have always done self-assist, but is there now another fee-based option with Carnival? If so, what is that cost?

My thanks to everyone for sharing and assistance!
