Cabins 7032 and 7532 are category 4N (standard outside cabin) whereas cabins 4000, 4500, 8030 and 8530 are category 2O (studio ocean view). There are only 4 studio cabins on the Empress.

Thank you for the review! I will be sailing solo on the 8 night November 4th Empress sailing to Labadee, Nassau, Havana and Santiago de Cuba.

Last week I purchased a studio cabin for 1 for the November 4, 2018 sailing of the Empress that goes to Labadee, Nassau, Santiago de Cuba and Havana. There are 4 studio cabins on the Empress. Two of the cabins are on deck four (the two front cabins with a porthole) and two are on deck eight (both with an unobstructed full window). I originally booked a deck four cabin but switched to the deck eight cabin when I found out the deck four cabin had a porthole instead of a window.

I booked for a set price. A couple of days ago the price dropped and I called RCCI. The company lowered my price. The following day the price dropped again. RCCI dropped my price again. The following day the price increased. The next day all four cabins were sold out.

Thank you, El Crucero. What is your opinion of early show then 8:30 Select Dining dinner? Is 8:30 a good time for after the show especially knowing that set seating time is also 8:30. Should I set my time for 8:15 or 8:45? Or is it better to eat at 7:30 and attend the 9:00 show?

Thank you for your review. I am sailing on the 4 night cruise beginning December 31st. I have also chosen Select Dining. What time did you dine each night? Did you attend the early show, then eat? Or eat first then attend the late show? Was there sushi on the buffet? If yes, what time?

My initial intention is to have sushi and a drink before the 7:00 show. Then attend the show followed by Select Dining in the MDR at 8:30. After that hang out in a bar and listen to a comedian, live band, dj, etc.

I have purchased the Classic Beverage package. What is your opinion?

I have traveled extensively including a river cruise in Europe, a river cruise in Egypt, various large and medium ships including Regent, RCCL, NCL, Princess and Carnival. I am not critical and have enjoyed all trips.

Any advice and/or suggestions will be appreciated.

I put purchase in quotes because the Celebrity website shows that making a select dining reservation time is treated as a purchase at a cost of $0.

I will be on the Constellation over NYE. How long does the early show last each night on the 4 night cruise? What time do the shows start? I want to "purchase" my select dining time for each night for after the shows.

How will people dress for New Year's Eve on the Constellation?

I have been on two river cruises and enjoyed both of them. The first was a 5 day trip down the Nile. The second was a Vantage cruise between Cologne, Germany and Budapest, Hungary.

$1799 and $0 single supplement.

I booked Palm Beach to Atlanta then to Frankfort. My return flight is Budapest to Amsterdam to Atlanta and back to Palm Beach. I had planned on getting my own transportation from Frankfort to Cologne but due to the distance it was much easier to take Vantage's transfer. Vantage told me that there will be other River Splendor passengers on my flight from Atlanta to Frankfort that arrives at 7:40 am. I'm assuming I'll have most of the day on my own in Cologne.

I contacted a cab company in Budapest and found that I could take a cab on my own from the boat to the airport in Budapest for less than Vantage was charging for the transfer.

It was a bit of an impulse buy for me. I was sitting at my desk with my son who was visiting from Colorado Springs when I received a postcard from Vantage in my mail listing a promotion that the company was waiving the single supplement for a regular cabin. The cost of the regular cabin was less than the smaller single cabin. So I called and booked.

I board the River Splendor on November 12th in Cologne upon your arrival. Any suggestions for which of the tours to pick (during those stops where I have a choice) will be appreciated. Also, please let me know if you do any of the optional tours during the Budapest to Cologne portion of your trip.

Have you had any meals in the alternate dining area? If yes, what do you think?

I booked my own plane fare but Vantage is meeting me in Frankfort and transporting me to the boat in Cologne. I arrive in Frankfort at 7:40 am so I assume I will have the day on my own in Cologne.

I have not yet booked my transportation to the airport in Budapest. I hope to meet one or two people on board to split a cab.
