When we went we hauled butt off the ship, then went to the conch shell graveyard, grabbed a few, then headed to Jack's Shack. Hung out for a while talking to the owners and playing with Topher. Then headed back to ship to enjoy some time with the ship not too crowded. Had an amazing time!

Why did they stop calling on Calica? Is it because they stopped sailing from Mobile?
When we did Calica, we went out of Miami.
-
Calica Mexico...I haven't seen that one lately. We did an amazing tour on our stop in Calica in 2008 and would LOVE to go back!

We were on the Glory last week and did self assist. We were off the ship, thru customs and out of the parking deck by 8:15am

The shorter and less expensive the cruise, the more kids you will see. The longer the cruise, the more $$ and less kids. That's been my experience anyway.
In the south, Easter has nothing to do with spring break. Our district ALWAYS does spring break the first week in April no matter when Easter falls on the calendar. I'm from Atlanta and it's always been that way. The system sets a certain week and every year it's that week. Nothing to do with Easter, whoever the silly person was that said that.[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
I'm the one that said it b/c growing up in NC and going to school here, we ALWAYS did spring break the week of Easter. As did the school districts around me.

We are sailing the first week of April and it's our sons spring break. For many southern towns, the week of spring break is typically the week of Easter.

Legend--my absolute favorite so far. I didn't LOVE the Dream--too crowded and big for me!

Has anyone ever done this tour?

Was looking something semi relaxed and not JUST snorkeling...Looks good, but I can't find any real info on it?

Ditto the cancel and re-book. You're going on a cruise on spring break...one one of the most budget friendly FAMILY cruise lines. We are going the week of April 4 and honestly, my kid is pretty well behaved and as a parent, I could care less if my child being there is a disturbance to another adult. Especially if he's acting fine or just like a typical kid.

I did get confirmation of email received when I sent it, then today I got another email confirmation that it had been approved and should show in documents.

I used a form email I found on here and sent it in via email yesterday morning. Maybe try that and if it doesn't show up in a few days call them? Here is what I found here and used.

I would call. I emailed all the info in yesterday and it's on the paperwork today.

Our very first cruise we were talking with the steward and mentioned that my mom and step dad wanted to cruise and loved seeing pictures of places--later that night we came back and two of the coffee table books with pictures of each place and descriptions and stuff were waiting for us! My mom and step have since taken several cruises!
-
I did the same thing. When I finally got it, it was kind of like Christmas morning!
-
Last year on the Legend you got 4 bottles, and I want to say they were around $25 each bucket.
-
For us it is. We get to the port early b/c our son is always SO excited! And we like having immediate access to our room so we don't have to worry with carrying bags around once on board. I'll continue to pay for that perk as long they have it!
-
Check several times a day. It was sold out when we booked and we managed to get one last week--at about 30 or so days out.
-
We went to Calico Jacks--took a taxi, who was VERY rude. Calico Jacks has free wifi and chairs. We liked it and ordered lunch and had a few beers--Few hours later we took a taxi back to the port and hung out!

First would be if they allowed smoking everywhere. The smell gives me migraines and my son has asthma, so that would be the first thing. Second would be food. We go on vacation to experience and eat food that we don't get daily at home (prime rib, lobster). If the food aspect went away, we would most likely just do all inclusive.
-
How old is your son? I couldn't imagine getting off the ship and doing an excursion and leaving them on. My DS doesn't like camp carnival. He liked it one year but then said he'd rather spend vacation with us instead. He'll be 12 this year, so we will see!
-
I would call and speak with someone. I was able to order a cake for my mom 3 days before their sailing. I think recommended is 5 days out.
-
Nope, and honestly, I would most likely be a little ticked if I was asked. I take time to make sure I book the room I want and book early enough to get that room.
I wouldn't switch b/c someone booked last minute and just wanted to change.
-
That is awesome. If we did more than 1 cruise a year (me and DF were talking about doing a cruise just us, no kid!) we would have to do things much cheaper.
-
Me and DF have separate accounts, typically mine is between $250-300, his is mostly the same.
Imagine my surprise

That is gross. Gross stuff like that is why we will NEVER get a aft balcony again. Our first--and last-- we had people throw cigarettes, ice cream, random trash and other nasty left over food.
Some people are just too trashy to be in public.
