Be happy if you can get $1000.00 at exchange rate 1.11 on the dollar per person.
The cruise line that I am going on is 1.24 on the dollar.

Ken_11:
Can you take out cash from Guest Relations a day or two into your cruise?
Cash from your purchased OBC's. I have bought some for dinner upgrades.
If you can, I will use it for my day trips.
Thanks, Blaine

FYI, if you would like to have some OBC for a good rate, buy it precruise through Gifts by Celebrity...much better exchange rate then you'll get through your local bank or credit card. Whatever you don't use, you can cash out at Guest Relations while onboard!
Cathy:
I thought that before I purchase "extra" OBC's for "cash" purposes, I would give Celebrity a call.
They told me that any extra OBC's that you purchased and did not use would be credited back onto your credit card and you could not take "cash" out at Customer Relations to say pay for your day trip in St. Martin. It would be nice to do that at the exchange rate they are offering. 1.24
Still a good deal though to pay for any expenses that you will occur on baord.

Hi Cathy
We are on the 20th of Feb cruise. I have been reading a bunch of your posts.
If you have extra OBC's can you take it out in cash to use in ports?
FYI, we live behind Georgian mall.

If you need US money to pay for your cruise bill onboard then it is best to buy OBC from Celebrity now.
I just bought $100.00 US and it cost me $122.40 CAN.
As of today the banks are charging 1.38.
$16.00 saved!

Seeing it is a Saturday why don't you spend another day in San Juan. Extend your vacation. :) We are going to get off the boat, leave out bags at the Marriott and head to old San Juan. Fly out to Toronto on Sunday at 4pm.
Marriott Rewards?

Hi mtquinn:
I am a Platinum member with Marriott and I have never heard of using points for a day pass at Marriott resorts.
Some resort do offer day pass rates for guests to spend the day but I am not sure if Marriott does this in PR.
I will be in PR 1 day prior to our February 20th cruise and staying at the Courtyard and staying 1 day after our cruise at the Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino.
I can inquire to see if the full service Marriott does offer a day pass rate if you want. It is directly on the beach and the one you would want to use over the Courtyard.
Let me know.
