So, i thought the difference between the premium and the ultimate was the alcohol price. They don't give you coffee, or juice with the premium?
Nope, both package has a $12 price limit. However, I only paid the extra dollar amount once. I had most of my drinks at the R Bar and they were very nice and never charged the extra. No coffee or juice or sparkling water with premium.
-
Confirmed that onboard prices have indeed increased for the summer sailing. I just got off the Liberty of the Seas today and here are the prices.

Also, liquor wise, there is no difference between premium and ultimate package like there used to be. The only difference is coffee, fresh juice, and sparkling water so if you don't drink these on a regular basis, buy the premium package.

I just got off the Liberty of the Seas today. This is the onboard pricing so what I was told prior to cruising was true....just hate the fact that they didn't disclosed their nee pricing structure.

The price is $469 in my cart (Total price with gratuities) and I do not have the 20% offer.
So yours is 31.22 cheaper than my option but not 20% off the "regular" price.
Yep! I was told that for my sailing, the on board cost is $67 per day. It was $59 per day before the 20% off sale.
-
What is the total price of the package in the cart (with any gratuities added) per person?
What package (select, premium, ultimate)?
$437.78 for Ultimate on Liberty of the Seas (June 19 sailing).
-
Technically they say 20% off onboard rates so if they are truthful, you should see the premium package for sale for about 58 and change on the ship when actually sail. Time will tell.

I asked the C&A rep yesterday on the phone what happens if the price of the Ultimate package when I walk on the Liberty on June 19th is $59 per day instead of the supposed $67 per day that I'm "given" the 20% off of, will they recalculate my 20% off of the $59 and the basic answer was no. I was just told that if the price is lower then the $67 per day when I board, I can always cancel and rebook; however, by then, there won't be a 20% discount. Duh!

My SIL was on the Liberty for her Mediterranean cruise and swears there was a Starbucks on the ship and said she remembered being shocked that there was one. I asked if she confused it with the Oasis but she says no.
Anyways, if there is no Starbucks, is there like a Seatle's Best like the Navigator or Mariner?
-
Is there a Starbucks on the Liberty OTS? My memory says there was one but the current deck plan doesn't show a Starbucks.
-
Saw this offer on cruise personalizer, should we jump on it? We had been thinking about adding drink package, but usually wait till boarding. 7 nights, $200 savings for 2.
If you save that much, I would jump on it now. Prices keep changing. If it goes lower, you can always cancel and rebook but if it goes up, you've lost your chance at the lower price. I just got off the phone with C&A and I was told that on board prices have increased for the "summer season".
-
Just got off phone with C&A. I asked what the on board prices were and was told that for the "summer season", the Ultimate package price is $67 per day but she couldn't give me a date of when the "summer season" started.
-
I am on the May 29th cruise myself....guess I'll find out first!!!
Can you please take a picture of the pricing and post it here? I would like to see a confirmation for each new week of sailing.
-
I just paid 404 for the premium package on the Liberty for 7 nights
According to my math, this puts the price at $49 per day.
-
Yea I only asked about Liberty initially because that's my upcoming sailing and so I have a specific comparison. I honostly didn't think it would be hard to get a response lol
I am on the Liberty on June 19 so I want to know the prices for this ship specifically as well. Thanks for posting the question.
-
We did too. Actually got about 23.5% off based on the math. Told C/S this and they said they were aware of the problem and that the $310 would be honored.
How did you get so lucky to talk to someone who actually honored the price? My group members have called in multiple times, talked to multiple people including supervisors and they've all said NO.
-
We sail June 19 but haven't gotten the message yet. I wonder if this will be their new departure time.
-
Maybe someone onboard now can confirm if the "onboard" price is higher?
I posted on the May 8th sailing meet and mingle thread to please take a picture of the beverage pricing on the Liberty of the Seas. Maybe everyone can ask for this on whatever ship you're sailing on and see if it's the same or different. I am hoping someone will do the favor and we'll know Sunday after they board.
-
Royal just posted this response on FB: Hi there. As stated on the website, this discount is 20% off of the onboard beverage package price. We're sorry for any confusion.

I just rebooked the premium package 7 night allure on 30 October... The "20% deal" paid the $363.44 (was $404.74) so I am following!
I just wen online to "book" thi package for Liberty of the seas and it's $388.22 ($47 a day). So different ship, different sail dates, etc have different prices?
-
Just booked the ultimate package for my husband for our Oct cruise. Yesterday it was $59 + gratuities now it's $49+ gratuities. Not quite 20% but we still saved almost $85 so I will take it!
My friend was quoted $53 + gratuities..yesterday and today when she tried calling again. How does this make any sense????
-
All of these complaints need to be posted on RCL's FB page - they monitor that much closer than this one here. Enough people publicly calling them out about this deceptive practice would have more of an impact than it does here.
I just posted a long comment on there following another poster's comment.
-
You can still pull up the PDF on there website and it is listed at $49 regular price, that is the ammunition i'm going in with!
TG
My friend was told yesterday they wouldn't honor the price on the website. Uggghhhhh!!!!!!
-
There has to be something wrong here; this is definitely unethical but is it illegal marketing practice? We are on going in June and several members in my group purchased the Ultimate last week for $357 and now other members in my group are being quoted $438....that's 18.5% higher. One group member was told by a supervisor that prices increased all across the board as of May 1st. So Royal definitely increased their prices by around 20% so they can give us a discount of 20%. Last week, I saw the price of $59 for the ultimate package (before discount); today, it's listed as $54 on their website and this is with the 20% discount. That would put the regular price at $67.50 a day.

Maybe that is the bar for people who have had so much to drink that they sit there THINKING they are at a bar. Must be some great conversations occuring there.
Thanks for the laugh. Hopefully, I will have a great day today!

20% off Drink Packages
in Royal Caribbean International

I actually bought the ultimate thinking it was the same as a year ago where ultimate got you premium liquor like greygoose but it's not like that anymore. I at least drank enough pelligreno water to cover the extra cost of the ultimate package; never had fresh juice and only a few lattes but lots of martinis to make the package worth it. :)
