  1. I had to fight to get the casino rate applied to my booking and to keep the ES rate. They ended up transferring me to the casino dept and they said that I keep my ES, and I confirmed that multiple times, but looking at my confirmation email, it has the rules for the casino rate and not the ES rate. I was too tired of arguing with Carnival to call back, but I will be calling tomorrow to ensure that I am still following ES rules and have an updated cabin confirmation sent to me

  2. It's true.

Not true. I was upgraded to a spa cabin/assigned a spa cabin when I price matched to a lower price and allowed carnival to pick my room. I was able to go to the spa, get my sticker from the people in the spa without an issue. You don’t get “passes” in your room, you have to go to the spa and get a sticker and wrist band thingy. The OP may very well get spa cabin extras

  3. I just realized my request could have seen pushy. I'm sorry if it came across that way. I didn't mean it too. Please spend your vacation having fun!! :)

Oh, it's not a problem. Ship Internet has just been wonky. I didn't even think that post went though lol

    Here is the 13th:

  4. Do you have the menus from 12, 13 and today?

The ships Internet has been down today and has been intermittently working. Every time I try to upload a picture, it fails. I do have them on my phone though. The menus for the 12th have already been posted

  6. If you have it, how about a bar menu.

    Mahalo

What type of bar menu? Like the regular one that's everywhere or any particular bar?

Here are the menus for day three tonight. This cruise has 3 sea days and stops in Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel if this is you're route, these will be your menus

  7. Does anyone have the current Breeze menu? I know that Zydeco has Breeze menu's on his site, but I don't think those are current or correct (but I could be wrong!). I'm trying to decide on what days to do a couple specialty restaurants. TIA!

  8. My son only has 2 cruises on carnival and he's listed as platinum on our boarding documents for our upcoming cruise. My other son has seven on carnival and his say gold. ( I'm not kidding!). Bill.

It's a glitch. A friend was cruising with me and he's gold, but the documents said platinum. He got a gold card at check in.

I also pushed to get 10 cruises before the deadline so went into platinum with 60 days. I hit the new platinum requirements just last year (took a year off from cruising :( ). But now I have 89 days and with two more cruises lined up, I'll be halfway to Diamond!

  9. I am going on a chartered band cruise later this year on the Triumpth, not offered to the public through Carnival. As a Diamond guest, do I still get the same benefits as I would during a regular sailing? No one seems to know. Thanks.

Yes, you do get your benefits. I'm assuming this is a Sixthman cruise? I've been on a couple of Sixthman cruises before they switched to NCL for the Sixthman cruises that I was interested in, and I always had whatever perk there was at the time. I honestly can't guarantee a past guest party, because I just don't remember. The only big difference is no main theater shows from the carnival dancers/singers. But there was still trivia, the Carnival staff still does what they are supposed to do, dinner still functions the same, etc.

  10. The $15 credit stumped me every time until one day I asked. It's because they will "charge" you for the laundry, but obviously the credit offsets. The tags will say FTTF because of the FTTF that can be purchased. The difference is those who just purchased FTTF will only have the FTTF image on it, where platinum and above will have Priorty and FTTF. I personally think that the party is better, (not that I had an issue with the party before), but yes, there are less people, I think the food is better and the interaction with the ship officer crew is a bit better - but that's just me.

  11. I'm of the philosophy that the CD won't make your cruise either way, but a good one can certainly enhance the experience. We'll be on the Liberty and Felipe Couto is the CD so I did research...and its nothing but negative. I don't think I've researched a CD with less positive feedback than this guy. Does anybody have anything good to say, or is he as boring and inattentive as everything I've read? Again-I know we will have a fantastic cruise (like we always do). I was just curious. Thanks for any feedback.

I had him on the Liberty back in July of 2015. I found him to be completely boring. I didn't even know who he was when I walked into the past guest party. I was always out and about on the ship and rarely ever saw him or heard from him. He didn't make my cruise bad, but it might have added a little something that was missing from the cruise

  12. I received a complimentary upgrade last year. I was booked into an IS, and was assigned a PT cabin. About 4 hours before I boarded, I got a call at work (I live only 2 hours from PC) offering me a complimentary upgrade to an aft extended view balcony. I didn't have a connecting cabin and it wasn't taken out of service, the ship just wasn't at capacity.

  13. Jaime Dee said on her page it will be available starting with the October 23rd sailing.

I can confirm that it is on the Sunshine. I was on board for the Nov 8th sailing and used it. It was great. You could favorite what you wanted to do on the fun times, and your phone could alert you. You could also see how many other people were going to the same event - though I don't think anyone knew about the hub app. It was great to see the upcoming events for the next days as well without having to wait for the funtimes every night.

  14. I just got off the Sunshine and got the Cheers program with my friend. I averaged about 9 drinks a day, and unfortunately never got drunk! Guess I spaced everything out really well, lol. I personally don't think I would get it again, as I don't think I would have drank as much as I did if I didn't have the Cheers package. I do have to say that it was nice to order a drink and not "worry" about how much it was going to cost. It's a great program in theory, but not for me.

  15. I love Jax as it is the easiest and quickest for boarding. Carnival is the only line out of it and they only have one ship. The ship now is a fantasy class the Fascination. The Elation is the same class and that class is the smallest of all their ships. We have been on 6 cruises from Jax and loved every one of them. Be sure to be outside when the ship goes under the bridge.

Debarkation is super easy and quick too. Enjoy[emoji4]

I think that's debatable and up to the particular port staff that day. The one time I cruised out of Jacksonville, it was horrible. The staff had no idea what they were doing and everything was a chaotic mess. Jacksonville is easily one of the worst embarkation experiences I've had crushing carnival

The flatbread and shrimp curry were so amazing. I'm kind of 50/50 on the new menus. There was one day where I didn't want anything and I was sorely missing the everyday favorites side of the menu. Though I do like that you can pick your own sides. I do have some pictures of some of the new items if anyone is interested in seeing them
