WOOOHOO!!! More happy reliving!!
It was fabulous to share some adventures with you two!! I see west coast land cruises in our futures while we get to our next sail:p
-
Sure wish you guys were going on the January 19th sailing of the Breeze... You guys look like a fun couple! Thanks for your review, it is one of my favorites.
Hiya Nikki!! "Some" of us funatics are on board for BC6, and we sure wish Chris and Cass and ALL of them would be there too!!:)
I'm caught up again WOOOHOO!!! Loving so much reliving it all, love you guys!!
-
Omg I love you guys so much, awesome read AND pics, as always!! So happy we got to share this adventure!!!:D

We bought just the pillows and they are awesome! We even take them with us when we go to the beach! SO comfy!!!!!
Exactly!! I see now the OP just received it today and I hope they try it out and love it too...
STILL do not like the way it's on the website, too tricky entirely!!
-
Ack, so I went to the Carnival bed site and under manufacturer it says UOM, and this acronym seems to mean "Unified Ordering Model" it's the only one that makes some sense...underneath it, it says Eastborn Marine...I am guessing that Carnival gets US manufacturers to deliver to specs they purchase from Eastborn to avoid the international shipping...maybe...?
Says the same thing for the pillows...now I have to say I do have the pillows Fire, and they are every bit the ship pillows, wonderful and so worth the price....
That said, it stinks that they are not clear!! OP have you slept on the mattress at all? I would love to hear what you think...
Now I am calling them too to find out more!!
-
Oh I am sorry that happened to you, I would not be happy either! I would definitely write and tell them you are not happy, is there anything in writing about satisfaction guarantee or returns?:(
I want one of those beds at home too but haven't done it. Now I won't do it until I find out more...thank you so much for posting:)

Great pic! The stool that Elvis appears to be pointing to is where I sat when bought my son his first beer! He was 18 at the time, so he couldn't drink in the US or on the cruise ship.
HAHAHA what a great memory good for you:) I signed that Corona sign right around there!!

Thanks for all of the insight on this port. We are looking to visit here on a cruise this next year.Great pictures!!! I can't wait to visit Progreso!
You will love it and please, come back and tell us about it!!!:D
-
We headed back to the beach to the place we picked for lunch...
Pretty soon our Carnival dancers came along and had some fun on the beach...
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh one of the best days ever!!! You will love it!!!
-
Down some streets and now along the beach...
Massages here and everywhere along the beach...
There's the ship!!
-
Then you get on the shuttle to town, compliments of AutoProgreso who sell their tours all the way down the seven mile or so ride...they drop you in front of an outdoor market but save that for last, it's the same place you go back to when you head back for the shuttle to the ship...
I suggest the double decker bus ride it's a hoot!! I read now it's 3.00 bring exact cash please...and I wait for a new bus to come so I can get upstairs and ride on top...just mind the powerlines lol....
Here's a bunch of crazies filling up the top of the bus while we rode around for about 20 minutes and saw the beach, the malecon, and where we knew we would head back to after the ride!! If you've never been, it's a GREAT way to get acquainted with the town!!
Here's the apartment I wanted, it was for rent...
-
AH!! I couldn't wait to get home from work and find my Progreso pics!! Now I am WAY homesick to get back there!!
This is from our trip in Feb 2009 with the bloggers:D
First, the port area is cute with a little bar outside and some shopping inside the port building...there are buses that run back and forth to town, it's unbelievable how long that pier is, I will show you from town in a bit...
The little outside bar and there's a little pool too!!
Elvis is still in the house here, it's retro fun, like the whole town:)

Progreso is like Cozumel 30 years ago, and no it's not a slum:rolleyes: It's one of my favorite stops and can't wait to go back in Feb!!:D The people are so happy to have visitors as it is a major source of income but I haven't found anyone unpleasant with a "no thank you" and a smile:) The beachfront has some great restaurants, all local, no chains. Most will serve you right on the beach and I love it there!! Enjoy!!
Merida is one of Mexico's gems of colonial cities and it's a half hour away if you enjoy history and architecture, beautiful plazas and churches, and some "old Mexico"...
As another poster said, Autoprogreso is a reliable source of excursions if you want ruins and many other choices in and around Progreso...it's a great port for on-your-own or with a tour...

It was awesome!!! :D

WOOOO HOO Barb!! Wonderful read, and the pics are AWESOME!!! Can't wait for more!!!:D
Smoking areas on Vista
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
The last information given to our smokers group by Mischelle Beattie Cocchera of CCL is that Vista has only two areas on the entire ship, Deck 11, aft only, and Casino Bar on Deck 4. Nothing else.
