  1. Wow!  Thanks everyone!!  I did not realize the 4 perks was the Premium package, that's a bonus for my mom because she loves her fancy water.  We definitely enjoy our wine and cocktails in the evening and our fancy coffees throughout the day.  Thanks everyone for your feedback!  YOLO!!!

  2. What are your thoughts on the Perks that Celebrity is offering?  Is it a good deal?  You can receive NO perks, 2 Perks, or take all 4.

We're planning a 12-day cruise and it would be convenient to have some of this, but is it worth it?  There's a $960 difference between the basic cruise fee w/no perks and one with all 4 perks.   The price difference between basic cruise fee w/2 perks is $500.

    Classic Beverage Package  ($59 x 12) = $708/person

Unlimited WiFi ????   (Does anyone know what the charge is?)

    Paid Gratuities  $180/person

    $300 on board spending ($150/person)

    So, the way I figure it $708 + $180 + $150 = $1038 plus the WiFi fee.

Did I miss anything?  I will definitely need the gratuities, how much will I really drink, WiFi is always good since I'll be away from home for 3 weeks, and I can always spend $300 on photos or fancier drinks.

Your feedback would be most helpful!

    Thanks!  -Lizardbeth

  3. I've been looking at cruises and would like to consider this itinerary on HAL, Y2L:15-DAY YUKON+TRIPLE DENALI. It seems to be a good combination of Land sites coupled with the highlights of cruising the glaciers. I can't find any feedback from others on cruise critic that may have used an itinerary like this. Does anyone have feedback about this option?

It appeals to me since we get to stay in Denali for 3 nights and go to Yukon, which my DH would enjoy. It also goes to a lot of the ports that a cruise ship would stop at. So, I was wondering if it would be more enjoyable seeing these ports as a Land option without the multitudes that are on a cruise ship? I don't have a feel for how popular the HAL Land and Sea Journey's are. Any input/advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have so many logistical questions that I'm sure HAL can answer but I would like to hear from a consumer that has experienced it. Thanks for your help!

BTW: I did check the roll calls and this type of itinerary is not there, if it is please point me in the right direction.

  4. I have a couple questions about cabins on the Equinox.

In the past I have cruised Carnival with friends who would book a balcony next door. We were able to open the balcony divider that separates them to create a large balcony. Can we do this on the Equinox?

Also, what is the advantage to booking one of the cabins that is on the 'slant' on the hump of the ship. Is the view better? Do other cabins have a view onto your balcony at that slanted angle? Are they bigger? I'm trying to understand the draw to that cabin.

Also, any opinions on the aft rear-facing cabins? I've seen a bunch of mixed opinions about these.

I'm thinking about booking with the concierge services. Is it worth it? Husband is willing to splurge for our 25th anniversary so we don't mind paying for a few perks.

  5. We did the same thing with our carry-on bags on the Legend. Snuck into the hall, found our room, and dumped our bags in our closet. The staff just looked at us and smiled. :D Then we were able to enjoy lunch and explore the ship.

I did not know there was a limit for bringing liquor back. I live in Oklahoma so can I bring back more bottles? Someone please enlighten me! Hubby wants to bring back rum from GC. Thanks!

  6. Do they only have one tour per cruise, or are they on sea days? How many opportunities would we have for booking a tour. We're cruising on the Legend at the end of May and I know both my husband and son would love this tour. I already know the first thing to do when I board the ship, head to the excursion desk to book this tour!
