I find it odd that we have not seen a single photo of the Solarium yet...

Thank you to everyone who has posted news, pics and everything else. This is my 1st ship build and I am so excited and can't wait to step foot on her. Trying to get DH to take a drive to NJ when she pulls in for the 1st time.

I am so looking forward to quantum. Been through a tough few months, my mom has been very sick and passed away three weeks ago, and this ship, this quantum trip and the pictures and updates have given me something positive to hang on to.

So sorry for your loss but I understand what you are going through. Same thing happened last year to us. We lost my mother in law at Christmas and our father in law is now coming with us on this cruise. Keeping his busy and upbeat as much as possible.

You made me laugh SO hard! I hope you're coming to Meet & Mingle, 'cause I want to say 'hello.'

Let's see. Brand new cruise ship. Brand new terminal. And some people still find something to complain about that the view from the terminal isn't what they expected. To quote the great philosopher William Shatner..."Get a life." You are going on a great cruise. Who cares what the view is from the port of departure? Every minute of your vacation experience won't be special. What's next on the list of things to complain about? no monorail running alongside the shoreline with pretty views of your ship as you arrive? You might have to...oh, the horrors...take a normal cab or drive your own vehicle to the port? What a horrible start to your trip! Why your vacation is simply ruined before it begins. Sheesh.

OMG, I couldn't agree more!!! With the new check in where we supply the pics BEFORE we get to the terminal, that should speed up everything too! So let's time it and see exactly how long we're in the "ugly" terminal.

Wow I just went into Cruise Mode while viewing those pictures, Thank You Lloyd.

You aren't the only one. I have exactly 100 days until I'm stepping foot on her and let me tell you. I've NEVER wanted winter to come so badly in my life so I can cruise again. I'm just praying that we don't get a storm the day we drive down. But then again, this is New England. If you don't like the weather, just wait 15 minutes.

not sure if the top image is a live feed however. At work and it's hard for me to play around with it.

I wouldnt want to have those cabins. They will have no privacy as everyone on the bridge wing can look right into your room.

So master_schnief finally made it to CC as MasterSchnief. From now on I will try and provide you with news from Meyer Werft.

 

Currently they prepare Quantum for her conveyance down the River Ems. An appliance is mounted to her stern right now to connect the vessel and the tug.

 

 

 

 

On the river side of the yard's lock, they deepen the Ems to give QotS enough space to float.

Those are some awesome pics from both FB and David Pogue! This really has me pumped even more for the cruise!!! Keep those great pics coming. It will feel like we've already been on the ship before we actually step foot on her.

If I'm ever leaving Bayonne during a blizzard on a Quantum Class ship I will totally be in my bathing suit in a solarium pool just because LOL. That would be something else!
