  1. My friend and I are booked on Magic next March. Booked with reduced deposit and have made a few payments on both our debit cards each month. Recently found out my son and dog watcher will be moving and I will have no one to watch my "children with 4 legs". I figured I can always rebook later if something changes but I don't want to keep paying if we may not be able to go. The website says the penalty for canceling in $250. How do they do it? do they refund each amount to each card?

  2. Still no luck. I have called the last 2 days. The website still has 4 or 5 mid ship mini suites available at different times. Never says sold out. However, each time I call, I am told "sorry, but we have no mini suites available." I just don't understand. I am not asking for a free upgrade. I said I want to pay to upgrade but keep getting turned away. This is my first time sailing NCL and I am not sure what to think.

  3. I am booked in a balcony cabin on the March 2nd Gem sailing. I called today to inquire how much it would cost to upgrade to a mid ship mini suite. They said there are none available, that they are all sold out of mini suites. I just looked on the NCL website and there are 5 available. Wondering why the won't allow me the chance to pay them more money to upgrade??

  4. Hi all.

This will be my first time on NCL. Have cruised several times on Carnival and once on RCCL. Carnival gives you a sail and sign card to use for all purchases. I have a lanyard that I attach the card to after i use a hole punch on the card. Does NCL have the same type of system?

  5. Hello.

I am new to NCL. Have sailed multiple times on CCL and once on RCCL. For most of my CCL cruises, I have received phone calls offering upgrades in the weeks before sailing. Have taken some when the price was great and declined others if they were too expensive.

Does NCL ever make upgrade offers after booking?

  6. Hello.

I have cruised on Carnival and RCCL and this will be my first time on NCL. I am booking a 10 day cruise and right now, can only afford an interior. Is it possible as the cruise gets closer to upgrade to an ov or balcony later? Hoping to save up some extra before the cruise.

  7. I am considering booking the Breakaway for Next February. I usually book balconies. I saw on NCL that if you book a suite, you get all 3 amenities (onboard credit, ultimate beverage and ultimate dining). Problem is, I don"t see any option to book a suite. It shows studio, inside, oceanview, balcony, spa, mini suite and haven. So is the mini suite what I can book to get all 3 amenities?

I do have a planner assigned to me from NCL, but she was incredible rude a few months ago when I tried to get info. Needless to say, I will not contact her for any further info.

  8. I have always tipped the person who delivers room service a few dollars. I board tomorrow and forgot to get singles. If I remember correctly, I have to sign a slip even though there's no charge. Can I add a few dollars tip to the slip to add it to my sail and sign of does it need to be cash?

  9. We sail on Fantasy February 7th. Was hoping to try FTTF this time, but it was always sold out. Checked every day and yesterday, it was available. Grabbed that bad boy right up.

Here's my question..I see the FTTF logo on boarding passes and luggage tags, but how will the crew know we have it? If we need to use guest services or to get a priority tender, how do we prove we have FTTF?

  10. Have been looking around for a last minute cruise the last few weeks. Saw Pack and Go Plus Rates for Fantasy out of Charleston in February for a GREAT price. Emailed my PVP and he immediately put a hold on an oceanview guarantee. Called last night around 8:30 and paid in full. Checked this morning and already assigned our cabin. Empress deck all the way aft. Sounds perfect!!!

  11. I am booking my first cruise with NCL and trying to get everything in order. I have cruised before, not on NCL. I know its best not to use a debit card for onboard expenses so I am looking to set up a cash account. I have read on this forum that there isnt a required amount to deposit but as I am reading on NCL website, I found this...

A cash deposit may be placed on your account in the following amounts:

    7 day cruises - $300/person

    Less than 7 days - $150/person

    More than 7 days - $450/person

So if I am booking a 9 day cruise for 2, I would have to deposit $900??

  12. I am looking to book a pretty last minute cruise. Went on NCL website and registered and received a call from a Personal Cruise Consultant. Emailed back and forth a few times with me asking a few questions. I have cruised several times but not on NCL. She wouldn't answer any questions thru email even though I said I was at work and couldn't do phone calls. She responded with a pretty rude email so I will not be dealing with her again. I know I can just go online and book myself but I think its better to have a point of contact. Can I request another PCC?

I also received an email from one of the .com places that deals with cruises. Looked at their prices and they are about $50 cheaper. Are they safe to use? have always booked thru cruiseline but would love to safe a few $$.
