  1. About 6 years ago, we did a singapore to HK cruise on RH and visited SV. In my blog, I wrote about the port. There are links to photos with a map, I think. There are a few things you can do…..go to the beach or go visit a "home/orphanage" (they do great works there) or if time permit (overnight) go visit Angkor Wat (one of the bucket list)……anyway, go with an open mind…

  2. Check with RC to ensure you are tendering……then you will be at Patong…..so you will be at the Northern end (known as Kalim beach), otherwise you will be at the Southern end of the bay…..

We once (Legend of the Seas) was docked at the Deep Sea Port, which is more for the Star line……..

  3. A Singaporean jumping in with a quick comment….

Theres so much on the web that you can search on Singapore tourist attractions…Garden by the Bay, Botanic Gardens' orchid enclosure (if you like plants), the zoo (not necessarily the night safari), the bird park, (if flora is your interest), Chinatown, little India, Arab Street (if you like a taste of those countries,,,,transport is easy (MRT i.e. underground, tube, train….or taxis (cheap & efficend….also HOHO for tourists….)……go to one of the housing estates e.g. Tiong Bahru, Bugis, etc to see how the locals live/shop/eat…..Raffles Hotel, Chijmes, Fort Canning, (if into history)….Clark Quay & the river for night entertainment,,,,,,Orchard Road for shopping and malling……etc……..

Depends on your interest and time you have…….For cruisers (pre or post) with only 2-3 days….you've got to pick and choose………enjoy……

Must thank the Australians and americans for "selling" Siingapore to the cruisers………not spell/checking this …..so pardon the typing…….

  4. The hotel is standard intercom and quite neat…

You will be in the thick of things viz local shopping, traffic (although ok inside the hotel), and close to wherever you want to go…..there's a MRT (tube) station close by and lots of activites……should be ok if you are not in for "peace and quiet….."

  5. Watch the weather...if it rains, go to the "flower dome" or the "rainforest conservtory" at Marina Bay (that's near the new cruise terminal, which you are NOT at)....they are enclosed. if it's not raining, catch a cab/taxi (reasonable cost and efficeint, about 10 bucks) from the Harbour Front cruise terminal to the Botanical Gardens and make sure you go into the Orchid enclosure (a small entry charge..2 bucks, I think)......enjoy your stay....and when you return to your cruise terminal, remember to tell the taxi driver which cruise terminal you are heading to i.e. Marina Bay or Harbour Front....enjoy Indonesia
