  1. We will be on the Regal's Feb 22nd sailing. In the past, my husband and I have made sure to board the ship early so that we could enjoy lunch in the DR. I just printed our documents and it seems Princess is doing something differen this cruise, giving assigned check in times by the deck you are on. We are now scheduled to board between 1:30 - 2:30. Our Travel Agent called Princess and was told that they had no idea if there would even be lunch served in the DR, because of the Sail Away program. When the agent asked what would happen if we arrived early, she was told it would be up to the people there how they would handle it, but we would probably be told to wait until our assigned time. We are Platinum, so hopefully we could still wait in the priority boarding area. What have any of you experienced? Have any of you been able to board before your assigned time? It was always so nice to start the cruise with a relaxing lunch in the DR, do you know if that is no longer offered?

  2. We are arriving on Feb 19 for a cruise leaving on Feb 22. We are staying at Bahia Mar and will not have a car. Since it is Chinese New Year, and we love Chinese food, we are wondering if there are any decent restaurants that are walkable, or that we can get to using either the Sun Trolley or the Water Taxi? If not, how much would a taxi cost to get to a good, casual restaurant? Thank you for any ideas :)

  3. question for you who booked. I booked online and did the $5/person paypal reservation. But besides that I didn't get any sort of confirmation. Did anyone else?

I am excited to go on the tour too - just want to make sure I really have reservations - didn't hear anything.

    THanks!

Did you ever hear anything? I booked yesterday afternoon, paid w/PayPal, and got the Paypal confirmation, but nothing from Bernard. 2 friends who are taking the tour with us booked later in the afternoon, and got a note from Bernard yesterday confirming their reservation. Did you need to contact him

  4.

We did Bernard's tour on December 19th - there were 7 of us, ages 1 1/2 to 50, and we all had a great time, even the baby! It was honestly the highlight of our entire cruise. We did the tour that stopped at the iguana farm, the beach to view and hold conch, sea urchins, starfish, etc., Orient Beach, Marigot (driver recommended we stop in at Serafina - excellent recomendation!), and to Maho Beach for the airplanes. He dropped some of us off in Phillipsburg to shop, and took some straight back to the ship. He provides water, beer, soft drinks, and some really REALLY stong but tasty rum punch. I can't say enough good things about Bernard's tours - our driver was "Sexy", and he spoke very plain english, and was very nice, and we all felt like friends after the tour! We took the group tour and not the private tour - but it was great and alot more economical! Have Fun!!

We will be on the Ruby's January 27th sailing. Since you took the group tour can you tell me something about the transportation used? Was it a van, or a mini bus? Was it comfortable? How crowded was it? My DH is claustrophobic so I have to check it out in advance. Thanks :)

  5. We have not been to Ft. Lauderdale in many years, but used to stay at this hotel located RIGHT ON the beach. We would walk for ribs to Bahia Cabana. I see nothing about this hotel mentioned. Is it still there? Is it any good? I would appreciate any info.

  6. Hello frok the CP. I think the park and sail will work well. Left my truck win the valet. Saw my truck in their underground lot. The hotel is very old and dated. The hot water comes and goes mostly goes in the shower. Not happy about that at all. Staff is very nice and attentive.

Hmmm... not exactly a ringing endorsement :( I'll be staying the night before our Island Princess Panama Canal cruise in March. If you go to dinner, please let us know where you went and how it was.

  7. Secret Menu info:

    http://www.badmouth.net/graphics/inout/Secret_Menu.pdf

Now you can order like a local.

The town car will probably charge you to stop at the Carson location. Are you at the CP only for one night? Taking the shuttle as Wineaux suggested is probably your best bet. They open until 1am.

I see a cheeseburger "animal style" with extra grilled onions in my future :D

Thanks so much for the info, and thanks to Wineaux, I'll be asking the CP shuttle for the ride. I can hardly wait for March 14th!!

  8. The SP branch is on Western and Capitol (1090 N. WESTERN AVE. SAN PEDRO, CA 90732) Do you have a car? If not, you can probably cab over from CP. The other option is in Carson, right off the 110 freeway on your way to SP. Easy to get to if you are driving to the CP. (730 W. CARSON TORRANCE, CA 90502).

Have you had In&Out before? You know about the "secret menu" items? :D

No, I have not been - just heard how good they are. What "secret menu"

And no, we won't have a car, but trying to decide between a town car & Super Shuttle from LAX to CP. Do you think the town car would charge to stop - or how much do you think a cab would cost? I'd really like to try one :)
