On this class of ship because of the the Promenade on Deck 5 which goes all the way around the ship, I would avoid any balcony cabin on Deck 6 or even Deck 7 if you want privacy. People walking on the Promenade (which sticks out beyond the balcony deck) can see right on to your balcony. We stayed on Deck 8,and it was perfect...could walk up to Lido and had privacy on the balcony.

 

Another thing to be aware of, is the location of the cantilevered hot tubs, there are 2 on both sides of the ship. At night they light them up and it is quite bright in the adjacent balconies, plus they can get quite loud from the partiers in the hot tubs. So I would stay away from those cabins as well. Hope this helps!!

I have to reply to this and it is just my opinion but it was one of my main concerns when we were on the Breeze at the beginning of June.

We were on Deck 7 about 2 cabins in front of one of the aft hot tubs. I have to say that our experience was wonderful. There were very few people who wandered in this area and the only time that we were actually in our cabin and i noticed people in the hot tub was sometimes when I was enjoying a glass of wine on my balcony before dinner!

And they didn't bother me at all and I probably watched them more than they were aware of me, to be honest!

I guess we were never in our cabin at night, what with going to dinner and shows, etc but never had any issue with noise, lights, or privacy and would definitely book a cabin on Deck 7 again!

From South Florida and listening to all this on the news on a daily basis. My prayers go out to the families of these boys...I have a 14 year old boy who is going into high school and I can't imagine what the families are going through! Miracles happen every day!! Austin and Perry please come home!!!

I have been looking forward to Blue Iguana breakfast burrito for breakfast. So when people are saying they got that for breakfast they really mean from 11 am on and nothing before 11?

We were on the Breeze last month and my older daughter had a breakfast burrito almost every morning. I think what was posted earlier was for embarkation day. You can definitely get a breakfast burrito earlier than 11am all other days! Enjoy!!

We cruised in May. We had no delay in texting with iPhones. I heard there were some issues with Android phones.

We also had no delay in texting with our iPhones. We even tried it out when we first got the app and literally the text was immediately received to the other phone so no issues there!

Used it on the Breeze on our June cruise and it worked great. Didn't really need it as much as I thought with regard to the texting feature as we all stayed together for the most part, but the texting feature did work great when we did use it. It was nice to have to look up things that were going about the ship on a daily basis. I would say it was well worth the $5 per phone charge.

I will definitely get much more in tomorrow and I'll try to show the funtimes if anyone would like. I remembered to save them this time! I'm doing this from my cell phone, so I hope it's okay and the pictures are showing up.

If anyone has questions, please ask because I'm sure I'll forget to cover something!

Review is looking great! We got off the Breeze on the 14th and loved it! I also did a review of our cruise and just wanted to support a fellow cruiser with their review!

We went to Maya Key 4 years ago and loved it...would definitely recommend going there!

Our ship also docked at 7am and I made my kids get up and off the ship early as I was looking forward to going to Jack's Shack! We were the 1st people to arrive and they had someone out on the beach who set up our chairs and umbrella I want to say no later than 8ish! Have fun!

We cruised on the Breeze at the beginning of June and we live in south Florida and were getting dropped off at the port so we got there around 11am. There were still a lot of people leaving but we were in with sail and sign cards in hand and waiting for our zone to be called by around 11:30.

They didn't start boarding until 12 but we were on the ship and dropping off our carry on bags before 1:30!

I just wanted to add my opinion...we just sailed the Carnival Breeze from June 6th to the 14th and had a fantastic time. This was our 4th cruise on Carnival so I was aware of booking through independent tour operators on the islands and saving some money.

In Aruba, due to so many positive reviews about Carnival's North Coast Jeep Safari Tour, we decided to go for it, even though it was a little bit more than we would normally spend on a tour. We took a chance and boy, was I glad that we did! While we were standing in line waiting for the tour to start, I had a conversation with another Carnival cruiser and his daughter who had taken this same tour a year ago and loved it so much that they were doing it again!

From start to finish, it was so much fun. My 19, 18 and 14 year old's loved it as well! Beautiful island, ABC, who runs this tour, was wonderful and the guides in our 5 vehicles were awesome and friendly and obviously loved what they do!

No regrets doing this tour through Carnival and would honestly recommend it as the tour, along with the guides, along with the beautiful island are worth it!!

Thanks for the review! I just booked the Breeze for next summer. It will be our boys' first cruise. They will be 6 & 10. What things did your son do onboard that he really enjoyed?

My son is almost 15 so he actually hung out with us most of the time. I feel that there is so much on board for kids, even though we didn't get to all of them. There's the whole water park/slide area, the miniature golf, the game arcade, the Thrill Theatre, and of course, the kid's clubs. I'm sure your boys will have a blast!!

Thank you for taking the time to post a review and figure the pictures out. They were amazing pictures and you might have sold me on a couple of excursions in these places. We will definitely be doing Jack Shack for sure.:) WE go on the Carnival Vista on 12/03/16 to these exact places and I can't wait. Like you...this will be our first time to any of these islands and also Miami so we are really excited.

We loved the Breeze...even when, at times, it was a little crowded. There is always someplace to go to find a quiet place if that's what you like!

I also have to comment that there were a couple of days that the main pool on the Lido Deck was packed and warm but that was a small part of our total experience on our cruise and totally insignificant!

i have to reply as we just cruised on the Breeze at the beginning of June. I think the ship was full and there were times that certain parts of the ship got a little crowded during certain times but I have to say that it did not in any way deter us from having a wonderful time!

If you do not like a lot of people and you do not like to sometimes have to wait in line and you do not like silly contests (like the Hairy Chest Contest, etc) and you just want a totally peaceful quiet serenity filled cruise, than there are other cruise lines that fit that bill much better than Carnival I'm sure.

I have only been on 5 cruises and only with Carnival but I honestly think what they offer is great. I don't get any really negative comments because we have only had nothing but great vacations cruising with Carnival.

I do want to say that I'm not trying to be a Carnival cheerleader as I am always open to new experiences but people who start their cruise review off so negatively just kind of make me say "Hmmm!"

You're welcome...it was fun to do! I wanted to add that the last 2 days at sea, they finally did live music on the Lido Deck main pool area throughout the day. It varied between a kind of island reggae duo and a guitar soloist playing over by one of the outdoor bars. It was nice to listen to and people seemed to enjoy it. On the last sea day, the guitar playing soloist gave people, mainly children and older teens, a chance to sing along with his guitar. It kind of was like a karaoke show and there were some really good, young singers. This attracted quite a crowd and much applause. It was a lot of fun!

My final thoughts on our wonderful Breeze cruise...first of all, wish it didn't have to end! Met so many nice people, both Carnival employees as well as other cruisers. Everyone really does seem to have fun and just being on vacation seems to put everyone in a good mood!

Loved the itinerary as we had never been to any of the 4 ports of call. Loved Grand Turk and Aruba the most. The weather was absolutely beautiful the entire cruise, although the seas were rocking a little leaving Aruba.

Our cabin stewardess and our waiters were wonderful and a couple of the drink waiters on the Lido deck were awesome! Wish that we had done more on the ship (never made it to the sports deck, miniature golf, thrill theatre) but I guess that's a good reason to plan a future cruise!

The ONLY negative I can even think of was during debarkation. It was fine hanging out on the Lido deck having breakfast and waiting for our zone to be called. When we finally were called and got off to collect our luggage, we had to wait for about an hour and a half before it came out on the belt :(

Maybe that's the way they make it easier to leave!! Anyway, if that's all I can come up with as a negative, than what an awesome trip!!

To those future Breeze cruisers...enjoy and you will have an awesome time!!!

Did I forget the last pic of the all important ice carving on our last day at sea?! We were sitting a few rows back from this and have seen it before so decided to stay out of the way until the masses moved back! :)

Poor Orlando, the assistant cruise director had such a hard time getting the kids to stay back and was asking parents to help out...too funny as most parents were probably sipping their fruity cocktails and just enjoying the moment!

One of my daughters finally moved in to snag a pic although we really couldn't tell what it was...any suggestions??

What do you mean the munster drill was inside?

Happy to answer that question as we just got off the Breeze on the 14th! Muster drill is now in several locations inside the ship. Ours happened to be in the Blush dining room but all the locations were inside the ship, which was nice!

Sorry to double post the Miss Carnival Breeze pics. Just FYI, the 1st lovely guy belonged to the bikini clad wonderful lady to the left. The guy in the middle was on his honeymoon and wearing my daughter's fringed purse and the last guy in the green sarong won the contest, along with his partner...it was a really fun contest!

Not the best of final pics but just a couple of the towel animals our wonderful cabin stewardess made for us! The pic of the wonderful "ladies" was part of the Miss Carnival Breeze contest and the wonderful woman with her back to the pic deserved to win because she was awesome!

The last pic is one of my favorite with my son and I enjoying a final dinner in the dining room before I got up to join our wonderful waiters in their final song of the night!
