  1. We have had ocean view on deck 2 forward, rooms and windows are smaller. Ship felt like it rocked more and it was noisier. Ocean view mid-ship, which we also have had on Grandeur, is much roomier with bigger window and less noise. Also closer to elevators. I personally would not take a forward ocean view or inside cabin again. We like to go cheap also, but for another few bucks, the mid-ship was much more enjoyable.

  2. We bought the Barbie Experience for my granddaughter on Independence of the Seas 2-15-14 sailing. In the room was a Barbie blanket, pillow case, magnetic door sign, a Barbie Doll & a package of doll accessories. On the 2nd sea say, they had a dress design workshop for their dolls. On the 5th day they did a dance class, on the 6th day a karaoke session & on the 7th day a runway fashion show. The instructors were wonderful with the girls (6 girls ages 6-9 participated). For the runway show, they provided costumes for the live girls to wear while presenting their dolls. They also received another package of doll accessories. Overall, the event was run very well. If your child is as active in kid's club as our granddaughter was, there will be a bit of a conflict with other scheduled activities.
