  1. My parents were booked on the Island Princess out of Fort Lauderdale to the Panama Canal on the  27th...they were just notified this morning of the cancellation.  They are both over 70 and we were all a little worried with all the Princess issues.  They are getting a full refund as well as a 50% discount on a future sailing...which was enough to make they happy.  I think they were a little relieved.  They had considered cancelling anyway.

I asked on our last cruise and they brought a plate of them every night!  I had to tell them I couldn’t eat that many!

Same for us! I requested them on the first night and the waiter said it was unlikely he could get some. Then, he brought some out on night 3!  I was so excited!!  My reaction must have made him happy because he brought plate fulls every night after that!!  I love Savory Bites but by the end of the week (night 4, really) I had eaten my fill!  I may not request again next June!

  3. I am looking at some excursions for Grand Cayman in July.  We normally book excursions on our own, but we have a lot of OBC so we want to find one through Royal.  There is a Catamaran/StingRay City excursion that says the age limit to book is 5.  Our son is 3. I would not let me book online.  My question is...if we wait until we are on board, is there a chance they would let us book it anyway?  We do have a suite this time, I'm wondering if the concierge might be able to pull some strings for us?

Did the upgrade fairy visit you or did you bid using Royal Up?

When we booked our cabin it's classification was a Family Panoramic Oceanview...last April they reclassified these cabins and made them Panoramic Oceanview Suites (No Balcony).  We were told this was the plan, but we assumed it would be the same level at Jr. Suites with no real benefits since the price was so great!  But last week after I started my cruise prep I realized it is in fact a full suite!  My sister and her family are in the other suite like this on the ship and we are having a ball bragging about our gold card status to the rest of our family, who will all be "suffering" in balcony cabins! 😃

  5. We will be sailing on Liberty in July and recently realized our cabin (1854) is now a suite with full suite benefits!  This suite thing is a first for us and we are pretty excited about it!

My question is...is there a carry on drop off for suite guests?  I know this is a benefit of the Key but I was wondering if it would be for suite guests as well.

TIA and I'm sure I'll have more questions as time goes on!

  6. We are two weeks away from our cruise on the Liberty of the Seas. We will be taking our 8 month old son and our 5 year old daughter. It just occurred to me that we should be prepared for seasickness for our little one, just in case. No of us have ever had a problem, though we take Dramamine with us for good measure. ;) Obviously that wouldn't work with a baby! Does anyone have experience with this? What remedies do you suggest for an infant?

    Thanks!

  7. After seeing so many reviews/videos lately, I've decided I want to look into getting an underwater camera for our upcoming Liberty cruise. We have a fairly new Nikon D3300 that we will use for the majority of our pictures. The underwater camera doesn't have to be super fancy or expensive, but I do want to be able to take decent pictures and possibly some video. Any suggestions??

  8. The flourless chocolate cake is the BEST. We used to refer to it as the chocolate nugget of goodness. We have been known to ask for an extra piece and take it back to our room. And then we eat it the next day. It is SOOOO good. If you wouldn't mind posting the recipe, I would appreciate it. Thanks!!!!:D:D:D:D

I would love that recipe as well! I have a Savor cookbook, but it doesn't have the flourless chocolate cake!

  9. It's not really an odd request. :) The best place for this is on the upcoming Roll Calls for Brilliance. I'm sure you will get several offers - people like to help out when they can.

This link will take you to the upcoming roll calls - post on as many as you like and see what happens.

EDITED to add: Also, do you know exactly where she is performing? There are a lot of entertainers/singers on the ship. It might be helpful to mention to those on the roll call where they can find her. :)

Going to the Roll Calls did cross my mind! I think I'll do that! Thanks.

  10. This may be a strange request, but I have a friend who's daughter is on the Brilliance as a singer. She just started about a month ago and her name is Kaitlyn. I would love to surprise my friend, who is an avid scrapbooker, with some pictures of her daughter and the rest of her cast performing. I want to give them to her when I see her in early June, so I would need them by the end of May.

Would anyone be willing to do this?? Just a few pictures would be great (you don't have to stalk her the whole cruise:D)

    Thanks!
