What happened to me was the flight I booked  myself was the day before an MSC Cruise and  was cancelled due to weather and there were no flights available from any airlines until two days later. So I had to rent a car and drive to Port Canaveral.  So In the event a booked flight with NCL could not provide me with a flight in these circumstances am I correct in saying they would give me a refund? (The cruise is only 5 days) I never get insurance. Does anyone know if there’s any documentation I can read regarding NCL booked flights?

Here is a good place to start.  I am sure the air department would be able answer your questions.  https://www.ncl.com/freestyle-cruise/airsea

can you tell me which device you use to do this?  Thanks

I have been using a D-Link (DIR-506L) SharePort Go for years now.  Worked fine on my last cruise in Sep/21.  It can be fussy to get setup but it works great once I do.  It is battery powered so I am able to take it around the ship with us.  The price I paid for the D-Link has been paid back by savings on multiple internet packages.

Just curious - did the people complaining that they didn't get the email book through a TA or with NCL directly?

I have booked many NCL cruises with the same PCC and have never used a TA for cruising with NCL.  I have not received said email from NCL.  I agree with the fact that this is not how this cruise was promoted, but things do change daily in these times we are living in.  I will monitor this over the next couple of weeks and make a decision then.  I have not been a fan on cruise line excursions and normally booked all of them on my own.  I find that most local tour operators will work with you to give you the best experience for your money.  Let's hope that this will change for the better at the end of August. 🙏

Maybe, but it's the exact same thing they did with Getaway. It was also originally supposed to sail to Miami then was changed to NYC.

I seem to remember that the reason for the change was that Getaway was chartered as the Bud Light hotel for the Superbowl after the TA.

  6. My experience with the internet was horrible, especially on the two sea days. It was slower than the worst dial up service I have ever had. I had the unlimited plan and spent most of my time trying to make it work. Talked with the internet manager and all he could say was to many people using it. His suggestion was to try late at night or early in the morning. My daughter was able to complete homework from her online courses, but not without many curse words. The WiFi is available through out the ship though.

  7. Jade next summer -- the itinerary shows a port arrival time of 08:00 -- and I'm wondering whether I can reasonably safely book a noon departure from Marco Polo airport. Using search, I've seen a few posts on the matter -- I understand there's a risk if something unforeseen happens like fog (trip insurance!) and also that Venice port rules may not permit walking off.

What I'm kind of after is figuring out what time NCL requires for flights if you use NCL transportation. I've always used that as a rough guide for what's reasonably safe. Like if they won't let you book their airport transfer for flights before 1:00 p.m., that would be good info. I thought there used to be a way to find this information on-line -- like maybe NCL port-by-port guidance or something -- but either it's gone or my google skills have deteriorated.

We had a 11:40am flight out of Vencie. Signed up for the first bus with NCL based on departure time from the airport. We got to the airport in no time and had to wait in line for airline counter to open. If I remember correct, this was about 30 - 45 minutes. Breezed through security and then had plenty of time to relax at the gate and make sure we didn't miss our flight. Made for a very stress free ending to a wonderful cruise.
