Wow and wow!!
Just booked my first cruise on Celebrity and well you know which ship...
Came to CC to look for some reviews and info. Found yours, now don't need to read any others! Such a fair, thorough, fabulous review jam packed with all the need to knows!
Can't wait to sail on her in March!
A thousand thank you's...:D

The Salted Caramel Strata....it was yummy!!!:D

Maybe the bigger question is why are we sailing out of the north in the winter?? Start everyone in FL, TX or PR and avoid the winter storms altogether.

3) Dress UP, in a classy comfortably casual way - not down. The best way to describe it is to pretend that you're boarding the ship in Italy, lol. Remember that boarding a cruise ship is a grand occasion, dressing up sets the tone of pomp & circumstance ! You will stand out to your fellow passengers and make a great first impression to your crew. These days so many people dress on embarkation day as if they're just going to the corner store for tomorrow's breakfast milk. Don't fall into that trap.
So glad I'm not the only one that does this! I always plan my "boarding outfit" that's a little more dressy than normal! Kind of like Kate Winslet boarding, but with a better outcome!

Joining you on the Emerald tomorrow!!! :D

Happy New Year! I've fired up my cruise blog again for the second part of our winter at sea. I've also added almost 200 photos to my posts since September (a whole other sport using high speed wifi at home!), if you're interested.
I hope you'll cruise along with us!
I'll be following along! Boarding the Emerald on 1/14!

Stayed in this one on Ruby. Large balcony, completely covered. Didn't find the wind to be an issue, but I was in the Caribbean.
I have a couple pictures, but I'm not sure how to post here.

We were in Dolphin, 733. Awesome cabin, too bad we had so many problems.. Had the best time in the casino.. Olga and Brad were great with everyone!
Hmmm... I have this cabin on 1/14. Do you have a review or pics of the cabin? What problems did you encounter?
-
so I had to stay and suffer.
.
You're still on a cruise....hardly suffering! :D

I was on the October 4 Royal Princess cruise; yes, we skipped Princess Cays and had an extra day @ sea. Our cabin steward told us that Princess would not return to Princess Cays until January.
Royal is there today

To go with GTY, you for sure need to know what you might end up with. We are GTY Obstructed Deluxe Balcony (Regal) right now and my only fear is getting assigned a fwd-facing upgrade and dealing with the wind. But we discussed it and we are happy to book this for "pennies" different than our usual Inside pick and we'll at least have some daylight if nothing else.
I've actually heard amazing things about those fwd-facing on Royal/Regal and they are usually booked fast! I have one for my Regal next year! :D

I would have no idea where the HC are located - all doors look the same to me!:o
I'm lucky to find my own door...

Wondering if it would be a good ship to spend a TA on. So would be interested to know what you like and do not like about the ship.
Thanks!
If I'm going TA, I want a bigger ship. Rough Atlantic waters, smoother on a bigger one. I've been on the CB 4 times, she's a wonderful ship. Regal is my favorite but she had that new ship smell, so there's that! I'd pick Riviera deck mid-aft or middle for inside.

Sighting the ship from your trip down on I95...walking up the gangway...hearing the ship horn as you slip past the breakwater and head for the open sea....
26 days...:D

Sorry about that! Here's the link for ship schedules and where they will dock. Go to www. vinow. com and click on cruise ship schedules.
-
perhaps someone can assist me, we are sailing of Freedom of the seas and trying to figure out which dock that will be coming in at?
The 2 beaches we are considering are Emerald at best western or saphire, maybe even secret harbour.... The info from the OP and replies all seem to be based on that ship at the other port? Which is the best beach closest to where FOS will dock? TIA :)

I just got a price reduction on my Dec 18 sailing, kept the OBC and got a refund. Call Princess back, you may get a different answer.

Was on the Ruby in April and loved it! But then on CB in May and it was a trainwreck. Hoping CB in Dec is more like April.
-
Deck plans change after the drydock on May 15th. R746 becomes a balcony!!
BEFORE May 15th
AFTER May 15th
-
All side facing standard balcony cat. cabins (excludes HC) have the same interiors. Those on decks 15, 14, 12 & 11 have balconies that are 9'x5' and are fully covered.*
* There are a few exceptions R746 is one of them.
.
Can you tell me about R746 on Caribbean Princess? Is the balcony bigger?
