    EMBARKATION

This was quick until the Regent check in.   First was Covid paperwork and testing checkin.  If you pre registered it was a quick process. Next was testing and waiting for results, about 20 minutes total.  We then had passport check, received a negative test wristband, a Regent gold sticker (??), and ushered into a large waiting area and given a group number for check in.  This was the longest ordeal as the number of passengers waiting increased as the minutes ticked by.  There were about 8 check-in stations and most passengers had not completed their Columbia paperwork so that seemed to slow the process down.  This took about an hour.

We are on Explorer now and our embarkation process was very quick.
However we picked a 1:30 arrival time and there were very few people there, maybe 10 including us. We also found parking on the first deck. We also did all the Regent online checking requirements before heading out to Miami. So that may be the secret!!

There are a good number of Atlantans on this cruise and not surprisingly, given the average age of the passengers, many military veterans. I hope you have the same great weather we have experienced on your cruise! The Atlantic side has definitely provided more rocking motion but for me, it has been soothing. Although I know I will be swaying for a couple of days once ashore while I regain my "land legs"!

And we thank you and your husband for your service. Our oldest is still serving as a Naval aviator and is currently on his CO tour.

We thank you and your Navy Family for your service & Congratulations to your son 🇺🇸

  3. We sail on Scenic Azure  for the first time, in 2 weeks and have received nothing! I called Scenic and was told I would receive an e mail by August 16 and at that time I can down load the information and print my boarding passes. Nothing so far...  We booked on July 9,2021.

  4. We thoroughly enjoyed both of our Havana tours and guides, Hugo and Jose did a wonderful job. Both guides were very professional, friendly and knowledgeable.
Hugo was fun to be with, he took pride in his job and wanted to make sure we saw all the highlights of Old Town Havana. His English was excellent.
Jose's car tour was the highlight of our time in Havana! The car was spotless and ran like a charm, my husband was most impressed.
Jose was a great guide, as well as a safe driver.
We highly recommend Havana Tours & Classic Cars Best Tours and our fabulous guides.
Thank you for making our trip to Havana most memorable!

  5. Thanks for all the quick responses! We are really looking forward to this cruise. It has been a while since we have been on a large ship... our last 5 cruises have been river cruises. So we are very familiar with the excursions. There just seems to be a lot more information on CC river cruise boards regarding the excursions.

We are active, enjoy walking, a mixture of art & history museums, DH is a history buff (retired Navy) so he enjoys the military excursions.

Again thanks all. If you think of anything else please let me know, what you have provided so far is great and helps in the decision process.
