Thanks so much for the pictures. we will be in one of these in May on the Golden and really look forward to it. I like the bathroom layout better than the Vista suites as they only have one sink and I notice the WS has also wall shelves over the side mirrors and the vista suites do not. Also the closet space is much better in the WS.

I really apprecaiate CC for sharing about the kids menu. I am definitely interested in the spaghetti and meatballs and the Volcano. I plan to try them in October on our next cruise.

In the spirit of keeping this thread as intended (to share information on the implementation of the 2012 smoking policy on Princess) --
From the embarkation day Patters on Ruby Princess, 4/1/12 --
"Outdoor smoking areas are clearly posted throughout the vessel. Please note that only the outside starboard side of Promenade, Deck 7, has designated area for smoking." [sic]
Thank you soo much for this info as we are booked in an Emerald Deck mini for our cruise in October and have worried about the smoke from the Promenade deck ruining our enjoyment of our balcony. I have puzzled as to why Princess just didn't move the smoking area more mid ship as there would be no balconies above that area.

My favorites are Cosmopolitan, Bloody Mary and the Dirty Banana, but the picture of the Long island Ice Tea sure looks good.

From BassetMom:
"It's true that reducing the smoking areas will increase the number of smokers in that area, and consequently the amount of smoke in that area. So Princess' new policy will result in more smokers congregating in those limited smoking areas."
This is the unintended consequences of the new policy. As stated before, most smokers and non-smokers are considerate, but there is always going to be a fringe of militant non-smokers that will persist in the windmill act.
My response to them is to enjoy your smoke free balcony and stay away from areas where there is smoking.
I hope we will be able to enjoy our balcony smoke free on our upcoming cruise, but because we have a mini suite on the port side aft I fear it may be impossible and we can't change the location as the cruise is sold out.

I just came back from Safeway grocery store here in California and happened to spot a pkg of Tim Tams by Peppridge Farm chocolate flavor I have now had two and can understand they could become addictive. On the package it states Australias favorite cookie. I am now on my 3rd and Dh has had 2. bad news!!!

I totally agree about the bathroom. I particularly liked the double sinks and the closet setup was much better and more easily accessible when 2 people, are getting ready at the same time. We didn't have any stabilizer problems on our Alaska cruise on the Golden.
