  1. OMG where did you get these? love love love them!!

Thank you! They are comfy, too!

They were kind of pricey but I have been looking at them for over a year. As my cruise date approaches, I decided to go ahead and treat myself. :) They are Steve Madden Glaare. They are around $90 but Victoria's Secret had them on sale recently for $60.

  2. Hi

The $55 per day drink package includes the tip. ie for a 7 day cruise it will cost you $385 each which includes the tip.

This would be the cost per person. If there are two 21+ year olds in a cabin (with no medical conditions preventing one from purchasing a package) then the total for both would be $385 x 2 or $770.

The more I think about it, the more I realize that it would be rare that my BF and I would have a week long alcohol bill more than $770.

  3. Finally cut off around 7:00PM....It is not unusual to see folks being "slowed down" and then cut off once you reach those magic hours of 3PM to 7PM. Bartenders were encouraging naps before a return to action....

I'm not sure I understand. Were your friends actually cut off when they had the inclusive package? If so, were they cut off because of their behavior? Or could bartenders see how many drinks they had in the day and were just judging that X amount was too much for that time of the day?

If so, then I would take issue with that. I can hold my alcohol well and if I am acting okay, then I see no reason for someone to cut me off or encourage me to "take a break" from a package I paid quite a bit for during my vacation.

  4. According to the flyer on the RC site, the premium package includes all beers. http://media.royalcaribbean.com/content/shared_assets/pdf/menus/beverage_package_flyer_faq.pdf

I'm planning on getting the premium package for my upcoming May cruise. BF will have to purchase too. But he's a imported/craft beer drinker and I'm a foo-foo girl. I like the idea that I can order what I want and if I happen to not like it after a sip or two, there's no loss.

And really, "worth" is a relative word. For us, it's worth it. Others would call us nutso for spending over $700 for a week of drinking. I figure we've already got a deal on the ship (which includes food, entertainment, a room).

  5. We did it last year for the second time and have it booked for May. There were probably no more than 20 people and the catamaran was large, so it didn't feel crowed at all. The crew is fun (without making it a real party atmosphere) and very knowledgable about the area. You sail over to Honeymoon Bay and they anchor there. You can snorkel, swim to the beach (or they can take you in on a dingy) or lounge around the boat. You stay for about 1 1/2 hours, then sail back with the crew pointing out homes, islands, anything interesting. After everyone is done in the water they serve you drinks, cheeses, breads and fruits. We normally do tours on our own and stay away from the ship sponsored tours, but this one is the exception!

This is what I want to hear! I am considering this and have not book a ship-sponsored excursion and it is nice to know it isn't packed aboard. Just out of curiosity, how much were the beverages flowing? :o
