Didn't even hear who won the comp for the best pic of the 3 sisters. I suppose it saved them a free cruise.
Yes we did Harmony TA and booked it back in March 2015, I am guessing we will do the same this March for OA4 TA 2018.

I agree with you about Oasis 4.
However, regarding Quantum 4, she isn't due out until 2019. According to port bookings, Indy and Navigator will be sailing out of Southampton in 2018. I am hoping Q4 will there in 2019 though.
Yes you are quite right, its 2019 for Quantum 4. Guess I lost a year somewhere. If I remember correctly the initial order was 3 ships and by the time they added 2 more to the order, NCL had a couple of ships on order. Thats the reason for the 3 year gap between 3 & 4.

Do we know the home port of this new ship? 4 Oasis class ship out of Florida?
Most likely a summer season in Europe May-October 2018, then to the new terminal out of Miami year round. I would say Barcelona for the Europe summer season and then Quantum 4 out of Southampton for the same summer season.

Another block on the bow and we will see the name, the letters will be welded to the block, so workers in the block fabrication shop must know the name by now!

We will be on board and hope to be able to report back, but I am sure someone else will create a LIVE thread before I even finish my first drink :D
We are on board and then again on 29th May, will try to report back between the two trips. No live tread from me either, will be busy eating, drinking, and having a fantastic time :D

The view through the Ultimate Abyss launch area glass floor.
This has to be first stop on my list on Friday, think I will get more of a kick from this view than actually going down the slide!
-
Agreed this was an impressive sight.
Fantastic picture, just watched video of this scene on YouTube which is even more impressive.

Spoke too soon - Harmony has slowed to a stop again.
Maybe Harmony going to hold until her booked arrival time tomorrow, guess port fees are high so might as well just sit and wait?
-
At the current time there's a car transport ship in the berth that Harmony is in. She can't enter the port before that leaves - due to leave at 16:00.
Guess Harmony will start to get on the move again about 15:00 then, wonder if the local and national media have been informed of her new arrival time. Would be odd if the news channels arrived early tomorrow only to find the ship already there!
-
Harmony currently doing a couple of knots going round in a circle off the coast of the Isle-Of-White. Well ahead of her booked arrival time of 06:30 Tuesday morning. Wonder if they might bring her in Monday afternoon to get better daytime media coverage?

I have just noticed how wide the smoke stacks are compared to Oasis & Allure. There appears to be the same number of actual pipes, however the funnel housing itself is much wider on Harmony?
-
I think you will find that is exactly what they will do
The 2 night Southampton invite is smart casual so definitely no naming ceremony there, my money still on June 5th in Barcelona.
-
I understand will be when she arrives in Barcelona, there is a 2 day gap between her arrival from Southampton and her first cruise from Barcelona. They will not cruise for an entire season and wait until US arrival before the naming ceremony.

Wow, can not believe they aloud someone past the railing onto this platform. One assumes a handrail will be installed prior to delivery of the ship!

We were on Oasis and Allure and Loved it. Two kids: 9 and 11. Debating between Harmony and Anthem in 2016. Seems like anthem, even with the circus school, bumper cars etc... isn't as kid friendly as Harmony with the water slides... any thoughts? Thank you!
Harmony hands down over Anthem, the Quantum class ships are lovey, but for kids (ours are 4 and9) the Oasis class wins. Add to this the new slides and improved water play area and there is no contest (in my opinion).

How peculiar. There don't seem to be ANY modifications to that area of the deck railing between the Flow Riders as of yet. I would expect to see at least some disturbance in the railing that would clue us in to the fact that something was about to be built off of it!
I notice no ship name up there on the aft section like there is on Oasis & Allure, I guess the slide would block some of it so not much point having it up there. On Oasis and Allure the name was on there before the block was lifted up into position.

^nice link. Does anyone have an idea when the shakedown cruise/sea trials are likely to take place?
We are booked on the 'maiden' voyage from Southampton to Barcelona end May.
The main engines are now online, first sea trial is Feb and then another in March.

You're welcome and OK, here's another one from http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=2316624. :D
I see something on the right side, some kind of tower structure wrapped in plastic, could this be something to do with the slide?
On separate note, engines due to come on line in next couple of weeks so she will have her own power.

Found this rendering online, but is it official?
I have noticed that Harmony does not have its name up on rear section of the flowrider deck like Oasis & Allure do. Is this because the slide will be obstructing this?
-
Oasis 4 or the MSC ship being constructed between Harmony and Oasis 4?
-
Has anyone else given any thought how you get back up to the launch area for your towel etc? Will there be a trail of we foot prints and dripping kids heading back into the ships carpeted areas, into the elevators back up to deck 17? If my 3 year old goes down ahead of me, God knows where he will be by the time I get down behind him. Guess my wife and I will have to position ourselves one at the top and one at the bottom!

Great pics, thanks for sharing.
