I did get the 125 rate as advertised after calling 4AM, 8AM and back at 8:30 AM. I always call in after finding a cruise for better rooms. They had to leave me on the phone and ask someone to approve. They had to check the flyer and stated it was a misprint. It has been on the internet for 5 days.

I did call C&A.....if you do not pay 200% for a single room your Benefit is prorated by the percentage of the 200% you are paying. Fair enough. I did not know a husband and wife, 2 friends, 4 in a cabin only get 1 Diamond Plus balcony discount. He did say the prorating was a new policy. Sure would like to see notice of these changes.........I like surprises but?????? BTW I did get a heck of a good rate. Thank you very much....RCCL. It was also nice to get someone at C&A that was willing to explain a policy. Wish I could remember his name. Darn! Thanks anyway......

I have just made reservations for Single cabin on Freedom for Aug 24th and the rep told me I only got 170.00 Balcony bonus. I cannot for the life of me understand this. This 225.00 is for being Diamond Plus and nothing else.....???
The rep said the computer has prorated it for the sale or single supplement or something......She said she did not understand it either. She has asked them for an explanation the other day when this occurred and they could not tell her or did not have any information for her that it is figured by the computer. Yes I will be calling C&A.

Just back today. Fantastic B2B cruise.....Great crew.....no complaints on food....refit like new ship. The Main Dining room is so nice and someone has really spent some time training the staff. Classy! Classy! We ate in Chops 2 times and the staff in the MR has it all over the waiter we had twice........BTW We had MTD.
One big change they did not reinstall the shampoo containers in the showers. Bring your own or ask your room steward for some.
One other change Diamond Plus might be interest if the Beach towel with blowup pillow was your gift preference......they have removed the Beach towel with the Blowup pillow that I really liked and had changed my gift preference to a regular woven beach towel. White with Blue C&A logo. I was told by head house keeper they changed distributors and could not get them any more. What ever!
Also no little toiletries for bath until 340 points say C&A on Vision. I had been trying to find out when this kicked in. That was my answer.
Go ahead and try the Vision you will like it. :-)

Read transcript of Conference call.

This is such a shame but we saw it coming......remember in Oct, Nov. and Dec (which would have been last quarter).... when we were trying to tell RCCL.......some constructive criticism.....Here is a typical post from those days.
"No longer feel like "Royalty"
At that time we said the market will take care of the problem. You can only cut so much and instead of helping the bottom line it starts hurting it. Would like to know what Carnivals earnings are. We just returned from a 8 day cruise with them, however we are going on the Vision for 4 days on Tuesday.

I like the Vision will be back on her 4/29. Nice deals for that date.

No! But my husband that passed away 3 years ago did got one.

Never works for me.....when I get to that point I take all the information and call in with info and let them book me....helping me with a cabin telling them what type and where I want it. Works for me. I really wish they would set it up so we could see which cabin are available.

I booked 2 cruises Friday and was given my $25 on both 4 day cruises.
-
I traveled last December and prices were very cheap just before cruise on Liberty with the exception of Christmas week and New Years.
-
Deck 7 on Liberty can be opened and were on our cruise.
-
I am so glad I am not spoiled yet. Have had a few balconies at the right price but I like to sail often and like someone else said, "would rather sail inside than wishing I could be on a cruise balcony." I really don't mind the inside.
-
I called twice this morning and got through within 2 minutes.
-
I just pulled it up again and it came up the price is a total of 432.28 for a SOLO. including fees. 480.30 with tips. Base price for double 179.00 @....I might not have made myself clear. Anytime I can get a single for less than 100.00 a day is OK with me.
-
I was going to beat around the bush for a few days and decided to go ahead and push the button. Glad I did. Only completed the reservation about 30 minutes ago.
-
Which E-mail address did you use? Please.
-
.......Leaving on Carnival on 4/5 for 8 days but will be back to RCCL on 4/29 because of the reasonable Solo price. Flying off the shelf....only 179.00 for double. Price drop this morning. First cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale for the newly refurb. Vision of Seas.
-
They missed our double points and I called......no problem, said correction could take 5 weeks to post. Took about 2.
Hmmmmmm! Mark me down for a 100% positive post.

I think you can continue to see RCCL stop gap measures to cut back. Reading a stock opinion tonight stating that RCCL had a rise is passengers for 2013 and was able to raise their prices 3.2%, however they have had a rough start for 2014 after the Explorer problem......
(perhaps explaining the Free Kids special to increase the passenger load.)
We also have 4 NCC and do mostly 4 day cruises. Holding them for now as we are doing Carnival 7 days now until RCCL prices come down. We can do the 7 day for what we have to pay for the 4 day on RCCL. There will be a lot of ships staying in South Florida this summer and there will be a lot of really good deals. Of course living in South Fla we can book last minute.
We are both RCCL Diamond Plus but that is not going to get us to pay double to cruise. It is all about prices for us, we eat, sit in the sun and hot tubs. No shows, No Booze. AA members. We want good food, clean room, friendly staff away from phones.
Will not be purchasing any more NCC.

Google: Flatworms in Escargot
News Flash! Maybe we are better off without......

October is one of the cheapest months to cruise if you are cruising in the Caribbean because of hurricanes. In October I find the closer the date the cheaper, however if you are picky as to suite you should do as suggested book and take advantage of price markdown until 3 months before cruise date.

Try $1188.45 solo with tips. I don't know if they are always full, I did check for a cabin for the next cruise the last day of my last Liberty cruise and they had a balcony I could have had???? That would be less than full....whatever!
Can you bring a travel iron on Oasis?
