  1. Hello all. We are on the Mardi Gras and we were wondering what the debark priority order is. We are platinum and usually we are right after diamond, but Suites were given priority boarding, so are they first off as well?

For the first time ever, we received a last minute upsell to a suite; and our debark letter that we received today just addresses express debark meeting location for Suite guests, not a meeting location for platinum guests.

We have an 8 hour drive and would like to get on the road as soon as possible. Thanks for your help!

Thank you so much for doing this. I'm cruising on MG for New Year's.

I have obviously been doing a lot of research but one thing that is lacking is the embarkation and deembarkation info for regular every day people (aka non Platnium, Diamond, or Suite guests).

Just curious on time options for getting on the ship.

Also curious on getting off the ship, specifically with taking your own luggage.

    🙂

When you check in online you will be given a time slot for example 1030 to 11. Arrive at your time. when you get to the terminal wait for your zone to be called. As far as getting off the ship, you should get a letter in your room telling you where to go if you want to self assist off

  3. !! Sailing on Mardi Gras tomorrow. Just got a call to upgrade from our cove balcony to a Suite for only $128 total. Nothing cool like this has ever happened to us! We are platinum.

Carnival specialist also said we she is pretty sure they go back to normal boarding tomorrow with the VIP lines. I haven’t read this whole thread, so maybe this is old news? Our old boarding pass said 10:30-11:00 arrival time with boarding zone A04. Now it says our boarding zone is PRIORITY. So we will see.

Also—Heard from a couple of sources that Shaq and John Heald may be on the ship tomorrow …

    Cheers everyone!

tsj:  Hope you are enjoying your cruise despite the situation!  Would you be so kind as to be more specific as to exactly when/where masks are to be worn?  The new protocols have been debated on these boards since the news broke, and details would certainly help those of us who hold bookings in the coming weeks.  I'm only referring to WHILE ON BOARD - not while in port or embarkation/debarkation. For the entertainment venues (Liquid Lounge theater, Limelight Lounge comedy club, Ocean Plaza or Havana Bar while listening to a band, etc.), is it only while walking to your seat and then you can remove your mask once seated, even if not eating/drinking?  What about walking through the atrium areas?  Walking down the hallways? Are there "mask monitors" every few feet?  LOL! Seriously, some of us would like to hear from someone currently on board a Carnival ship, not those who are speculating as to how it will be.  Some have said "it's only walking a few feet into the MDR and in the Lido Buffet".  As for other posters, please do not quote the protocol wording back to me - I am well aware of it.  I am asking a legitimate question, and I think it would be helpful to hear from someone who is actually on a ship and can give an accurate account, seeing as how the previous CCL cruises have not had a mask requirement for all applicable passengers as we have now. OP - I thank you in advance for any information you can provide, and I wish you a blessed remainder of your cruise!

I’m not tsj, but I can tell you that there are signs where masks are required: dining room, marketplace (buffet), entertainment venues (lounges), casino, and elevators. It was not specifically stated for hallways, but most everyone is wearing them inside unless the are seated and eating/drinking. As I said In my original post, smoking has been delegated to the designated open decks outside. I hope that helps.E8D44572-F0CA-4395-BC87-56FE203A15D1.thumb.jpeg.5b8318c5e2de7c184d97d0a4d7393c89.jpeg

Well - she's the main recipient of (suffering from) her own attitude. She's not trying to make lemonade. It can be challenging for most of us occasionally. Sometimes I have to remind myself to sit back and reevaluate things - to get a better perspective.

    Tom

I understand. Said good morning and she just snubbed us. Lol- it is what it is. We had a power outage the other day for a while-seemed to be not everywhere though.

Speaking of lemonade, I have yet to find a lemonade dispenser (they seem to have the juice all day). Not a big deal, it must be somewhere but I haven’t been able to crack that nut yet. Water and cocktails will be just fine😀.

I have and will be wearing a mask at airport/airplane for hours, so it’s just not a big deal to me. We are outside most of the time on ship until evening anyway.

How have the paxx taken to the mask wearing?    Understanding or angry?     Are people complying? Any changes when visiting ports?

Everyone seems understanding and are complying as far as I could see. There was one lady in the elevator this morning without a mask and carrying a pack of cigs who didn’t look happy at all. We just have Cozumel left (today). Same protocol at port-masks required inside and outside unless eating, drinking or in water

This makes it seem like when you are just strolling around the ship you don't have to wear a mask until you get somewhere that is requires you to put a mask on.... interesting concept.

Yup . We have to wear them in elevators, entertainment venues, in dining room, buffet (until we sit down) , but not outside

Going on Vista 8/14.  Already vaccinated.  Sounds like a quick antigen test will be required.

Any confirmation regarding the existing sailing whether there is positive cases onboard or was the announcement for passengers due to the policy change?  What happens when passengers on board positive will they return ship for deep cleaning or just fluff up the stuff and load the next batch of passengers?

They announced the policy change (about the masks) and that there were positive COVID cases onboard in isolation on the ship. No news on if this will effect debarking, etc.

Do you know how many are positive and why were they tested?   Did they make an announcement about the positives?

He didn’t say how many but he announced it at the same time as the mask mandate. They are all in quarantine. Some were having mild symptoms, others none. That’s all he said. We also left Belize late. There was some medical emergency (non COVID I understand) that had to leave ship.

I am so sad right now!  Looks like we will have to cancel our B2B . . . AND speaking of B2B's, I wonder how this affects those on B2B's?

Anyway - Just looked up on how fast test results are currently being provided in my local area:

"When will I receive my test results?

Return of test results varies greatly by the company/provider performing the COVID-19 test and the laboratory used to analyze and confirm the results. On average, you can expect your test results within 4-7 business days"

We were talking to someone (3rd week of back-to-back) on the Vista. She had to be tested on the last day of each cruise along with the non vaccinated folks
