I have pre-existing conditions that could cause problems, so I always buy mine at the time of cruise deposit. That ship has sailed...
I would also encourage you to use insuremytrip.com and research options available to you now. Figure what is most important to you - for me it is emergency evacuation because no other insurance will help you with that. I also look for an insurance that is primary payer, so the claim process is much easier. Cancel for any reason is pricey and I don't buy that.
When I took my mom on a cruise, I purchased the cruise line's insurance so I had a fall-back for her cruise fare if she had to cancel and insurance wouldn't cover it. But I was also very concerned about emergency evacuation so I purchased a primary payer insurance for that service only.
If you have questions, ask.
What is insurance that is primary payer??

How do you find out if the rates have dropped on your cruise without doing a false booking? There used to be a "form" or something you could type in your cruise category etc and it would tell you if the price dropped or not. Than You

Mom sent 3 dresses to be pressed only as soon as we saw our cabin steward. Simple dresses, not anything fancy. They were delivered right before dinner on 2nd night which was formal night. Cost was $32. A little pricey compared to at home but its vacation, who wants to iron? Now I steam some of my shirts in the bathroom in our cabin. Turn the water to HOT and close the door and 5 minutes later they look so much better. I bring hangers so I can steam around 3 at a time. :)

I loved the Fantasy. Was shocked to find out she was the oldest ship currently sailing for Carnival. She did not look 24 years old at all! Enjoyed my cruise and plan to cruise her again since its only a 2 hour drive for me. :) Saves me money also since I usually drive down the day before (in Florida ports) and have to pay for a hotel room. And parking was free as I am handicapped.

I really appreciate the helpful information on here. Not so much the smarty britches with the 100% comment.

On the Legend in February ours was dead silence. I was shocked but pleased everyone was so quiet and paying attention. I guarantee I know where to be LOL. There were 5 rooms holding us up to start the drill. They call your name and room number out for everyone to hear if you try and skip the drill. Could not leave till all of these people showed up!

3. A newlywed couple, after bringing their luggage into their cabin, stormed down to the desk. The bride was in tears, and the groom was red faced. When asked what the problem was, the groom started swearing at the desk clerk. "We booked a cabin with a view for our honeymoon, and all we get to see out the window is a parking lot!"
That's funny!! I'm crying from LMFAO

Questions about Ecstasy...
in Carnival Cruise Lines

Now I have NOT been on Ecstasy but I have been on Fantasy out of Charleston. The 2 ships are almost identical. We had a terrific time. They had done a makeover of the ship and frankly I could not tell one bit of difference from the bigger ships except of course the size. It was not rundown and I had no clue until I got home that the Fantasy was built in 1990. You could have fooled me and I have been on several different carnival ships. February 28th will be our 1st time on the Ecstasy and we are excited. We live in S.C. so it is just a 2 hour drive for us.
Now in all honesty I have narrowed down which elevator had the tragic accident and I'm not getting on it, sorry but NO. I'm sure it is 100% safe but NO.
