Taking my first cruise with Norwegian for my birthday! My question is, if I inform them that I'm celebrating my birthday will they do anything special? When I booked I forgot to check the box that asks if your celebrating a birthday:(

You're on "vacation" right now and your worry/concern is how much the cabin steward is earning......ok.
On my cruises I've noticed crew with braces on their teeth, the new iPhone watches.....I think they're doing fine. This is 2016, we choose our career paths. However, if the service that I receive warrants extra in tips, I will tip extra.

Always enjoy your reviews. The picture of Nassau without Atlantis is so crazy! Thanks for taking us back down memory lane, I thoroughly enjoyed your family history and pics.

I like it and because it's use it or lose it, I always buy things like photo albums and frames during the last day sale. We enjoy spending it all down to the last drop!

If I'm platinum but my wife isn't can she go with me to the past guest platinum/diamond party? She did before but I wasn't sure if it was ok or not.

I've been in a restroom stall and heard a person come out the stall and exit the restroom without washing their hands. I've seen people just walk out without washing also. Now, I wonder if those people NEVER use the hand sanitizer because it gives them a false sense of security? Carnival spends thousands on hand sanitizer just to give its cruisers a false sense of security? Ok

Yep I don't fault anyone for over paying to have an all inclusive, it's like going to a beaches resort when you know you don't drink much. You are paying for the alcohol even though you won't be drinking much of it (which is why I don't go to the all inclusive resorts). If that's what works best for your vacation go for it. I'd rather toss $100-$200 on the sign and sail before the cruise to cover that beer and wine every day so it's prepaid, then get back any that's left over but whatever works.
Exactly! My plan is to put $500 on a gift card for my drinks. My SO doesn't drink much, maybe 3 glasses of wine on an 7-8 day cruise. Cheers for 2 would cost us $919.08 for the 8 days. That's like giving away $400! I like the specialty coffees so I can't wait to see if I reach my $500 allotment. However to each it's own, JUST HAVE FUN!!

I informed my TA of what you guys posted and now my gift cards have been applied to my account.
Just to answer some questions: Carnival will NOT have anything to do with your booking if you used a TA.
I have NEVER received an OBC from my TA which is why I stopped using him for years. He claims his rates are already low. Which they were for this particular cruise. I usually book through Carnival.com early saver and watch for price drops. It's actually kinda fun watching your OBC grow!

Thanks! I'm still waiting for a reply or an invoice. This is why I like to use a PVP!

Trying to use Carnival gift cards with a TA! Is there a TA that has used Carnival gift cards as payment on a cruise? My TA is asking me for an expiration date!

Carnival should allow you to purchase the package individually! If your photo comes up, why not? I want it but my partner doesn't drink! COME ON CARNIVAL, JOHN HEALD talk to the beards!

I decided to try leaving dishes in my cabin once. The cabin steward doesn't remove them. There are employees that actually have the job of going down each hallway picking up trays. So, until Carnival changes the rules, (which I doubt they will because that would give someone other than your steward access to your cabin.) I'll be putting my dishes in the hallway.

My bed configuration has never been correct! I always have to hunt the steward down or call house keeping. They usually say, "we'll change it while your at dinner." They don't......so I call again with a little anger in my voice then it's changed to a king. They usually try to have me wait until the next day. NO! I've also gotten the confused are you sure question. I would once love to slowly open my cabin door to see our bed as I requested it KING!

Wow! I'm so impressed, thanks a bunch!

Thanks! Thats what I wanted to know, if it were like other ports with people selling excursions etc.

I've noticed charges for drinks that I didn't have but I give it a day or so and they disappear.

Can we purchase the airboat ride once we get to Port Canaveral or should we purchase through Carnival?
-
On the Pride to the Bahamas and the first stop is Port Canaveral. I was wondering if like other ports there are vendors offering excursions once you disembark the ship. I have no clue what to do in this port....HELP!

Just happened to see an email regarding my Verizon Rewards Points. Went online and to my surprise they had them available. I've been trying for months. Made the purchase at 6:15 am.

December 2014 was my second time on the Splendor. Out of 9 cruises that was the worst of them all. The crew were like robots just going through the motions. Other passengers also felt that there werent enough activities and when there were planned activities the crew was always late getting to them but they would end them on time. My cabin was nasty on embarkation day, the steward admitted to not cleaning it properly because he had so many cabins that day to clean. It felt like the crew needed a vacation:cool:

Thanks everyone for the quick responses! No docs yet as I am in the process of planning two cruises for 2015. A quick 5 day and my annual October/Halloween cruise.
Thanks again guys!

I have searched everywhere for an answer. So I'll ask here on the forum.
My next October cruise, I will have 70 days at the start of it. It's an 8 day cruise. At the end of it I will have 78 days. Will I be cruising Platinum at the start of my October cruise or will I have to wait until the next cruise? Also are there any booking discounts at Platinum?

Sitting in the hot tub late at night with a drink in hand looking up at the stars........

NOPE . if ebola was on the ship, I would just stay in my stateroom and order room service. ;)
My thoughts exactly!
