Going on liberty in 3 weeks and I consider myself a good judge of cover bands and will post here when I get back!!

I think you will be disappointed.

Never saw a decent cover band on a cruise... sad. Guess I am a little spoiled because we have a lot of awesome cover and original bands in western NY. Guess I have to look into that 6th man thing.

Nice review and thank you for the photos.... brought back some great memories of our families cruise on the Liberty. I had to laugh when I saw the pic of the piano bar... The adults from our group were in their one night and watched a dozen people walk into those mirrored poles. That was after I walked into one of them :o. Its kind of like a sobriety check point in the middle of the room.

My get-away from the cruise: Every night, after dinner, I take a long slow walk around the ship on the lowest open deck. Usually deck 4 I think. Same location as most muster stations. To me it's the only place where you feel like you're out at sea. Dimmer lighting, no kids, no loud music... it's how I imagine the old ocean liners were. You can hear the waves hitting the hull and smell the spray. Maybe even feel the spray if it's rough. Some nights you can even see stars. Light pollution prevents you from seeing many stars on the upper decks.

 

Love doing this... It is an amazing feeling of being alone on the ocean.
