I'm thinking that must be like the "Don't Forget the Lyrics" show on tv... You sing a song and they stop and you have to sing the next few lines from memory instead of reading it.

:D HAVE A FABULOUS CRUISE!!!!! :D

A button down shirt with slacks, no tie required. Or a nice silk shirt that could be left untucked even.
Thank you!

Just off Liberty 4/19 Western sailing.
day one: Sailaway dinner
day two: Formal Captain's gala dinner
day three: Venetian feast(Italian)
day four: Anchored in Excellence dinner
day five: Formal Chef's dinner
day six: Surf dinner
day seven: Feast of Nations dinner
*Sorry have only Compasses not menus. We did Portofino on Thursday night as staff at Portofino's recommended skipping that night in the dining room when I went in to make reservations. Mon, Th, Fr are casual dress, Sun & Wed. formal, and Tues. "smart casual".
Portofino's is definitely worth it. Food is a cut above, enjoy.
Any other questions let me know.:)
Thank you for posting that!!! Hmmm, smart casual... what would DH wear for smart casual?? Would a button down shirt with a tie and nice pants do? He doesn't have any jackets other than his suit!!
Fishy1, how sweet! Congrats on your upcoming marriage!!!!! :D

It is a "wild and crazy" adult scavenger hunt. I took the risk of being run off Cruise Critic by sharing this story, but I am hoping for forgiveness. Hopefully, it's not a spoiler.
LOL, I think you're good. That's the explaination I usually see around here.

Inflatable raft? For real?
I just hope we don't get stuck with a cancelled flight  - sure hope all this airline inspection mess is over by then.

Oh I know!!! General Motors' travel made our reservations and we had no choice when to fly, so we go in the day OF our cruise. I've been nervous about that for a while now...

So exciting, isn't it??? LOL

Make sure you bring your water shoes. The island is covered in coral. Walking on the sand is very hard to do, the rocks everywhere are sharp.
Thanks for that suggestion. That's a good thing to know!

Hey, that's a great idea, bringing the floats. I'm pretty sure we're just going to walk around and explore a bit then hit the beach.

Jen, thanks for sharing the GORGEOUS panoramic shot of the Liberty at Labadee. I'm going in six weeks (!), and although it'll be my second cruise, it'll be my first on the Liberty and my first time at Labadee. I'm so excited I can hardly wait!
Erica
This is also my 2nd cruise, but first on Liberty and to all the islands on the itinerary. We have just under 8 weeks to go and I'm worthless, lol. I'm addicted to the boards, reading and re-reading everything to make sure I don't miss an opportunity for something fun while we are away.
My husband will see me on the laptop and just laugh and say... "what are ya doing?" He knows I'm on CC reading more stuff! lol

:D We got our reservation number today!!! Since hubby won the cruise through work, their travel department arranged everything and we had no info.
I just plugged the number in and.... WE GOT A BALCONY!!!!! On a hump. Room 6334. COME ON MAY 31ST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nikki...how many boxers do you have? My fawn, Hannah, just turned eight years old on February 28th. We lost our brindle, Nikko, last summer to cancer. He was only five years old.
We have 1 brindle girl, Angel. I'd love to get a fawn male, but I'm not sure our little house could handle 2 boxers! lol I'm sorry for your loss!
Oh, I've been wondering about the 80's party too! Sounds so fun!

Hi Nikki! :)
The pools and hot tubs are open 24 hours a day. The only time they are closed is when they are being drained & cleaned. :) And even then, it's usually only one at a time.
YAY! Thanks!!
-
I was laying in bed last night and thought of something I don't remember seeing...
What time are the pools/hot tubs open until at night? Thanks!

My 1st cruise was in January 2000. Our flight was from Baltimore to Atlanta then Atlanta to San Juan, it was the day before the Superbowl, the one in Atlanta. Atlanta had an ice storm, we sat on the runway for 5 hours, watched them de-ice the wings 3 times. A connecting flight from Texas never did make it to our flight. We got to San Juan quite late, but apparently because of the huge weather issue they held the ship. We made it on and had about 45 minutes MAYBE before we set sail. We had to do our muster the next day cause it was too late the 1st night.

Awww thank you for those kind words.
I'm so jealous you won a cruise !!! OMG that's wonderful, you'll have a great time! :)
Husbands really DO come in handy sometimes, lol.
It was your review that got me reading this message board and now I'm hooked!!!

Debbie...unfortunately for me, I came down with a bad case of the flu on Day 2 and stayed locked up in my cabin for three straight days. I battled a high fever and sore throat, and wasn't able to eat anything. I think I am the only person I know that goes a cruise, get sick, and manage to lose 6 lbs! Sorry, didn't take many photos either. :(
Oh, I'm so sorry to hear you were sick on your vacation!!!
Hey, I'm a boxer mommy too!! lol
-
Oh to win a cruise! How wonderful! Have a great time on the Liberty and be sure to report back. We cant wait to sail her in November.
LOL, I was in shock, let me tell ya! We don't have to pay for a thing, thankfully, cause it's the only way we could afford to go, lol. Actually there should be quite a few people that won from around the country, they have their own spot in the dining room and everything... Trying to see if anyone else is going on that cruise...

Thanks for starting a Liberty thread!! We are going in 3 weeks and can't wait!! As other posts said, I have been reading everything I can to prepare. We have a great group chatting on roll call too! We were on Explorer previously and it's amazing to see the difference between that class and Liberty on the pictures! Wow!!
Anyway, as far as opening up the balconies between the staterooms, yes this can be done. Check out the pictures in the review on the link below. The review is VERY LONG (but worth the time to read) but the pictures of her extended group all out on the balcony together is great. You can clearly see how one of the two balcony panels are removed for everyone to pass through to each others' area. We are traveling as a group of 5 staterooms and one of the first things I want to do is have the balconies opened up so we can hang out there together!

Enjoy!!
Thank you so much for that review, it was amazing!!! Extremely informative.
Hi everyone, I'm new around here. My husband WON a cruise through work, we will be sailing on the Liberty of the Seas on May 31st. The timing couldn't have been more perfect. It is 4 days after my 30th b-day and we will be away for our 1 year anniversary. This is an absolute dream come true.
I'm really enjoying reading all the posts around here and learning all that I can about the ship.

WOW, I think your ticker has the longest count down I've seen yet!!! I'd drive myself insane if I had to wait that long, 3 months was enough for me to become certifiable, lol. :D Well worth the wait though, I'm sure!
