  1. hey stardust

you can look at tree cycle genoa. when coming thru cruise terminal they should be there offering pedicab tours with driver/guide around town. down small alleys, stop for photo ops, window shopping, learning history about christopher columbus' home. stop for lunch, have a glass of wine and people watch. will save you "paws" from so much walking. i have a knee issue (torn meniscus-ouch) and we did pedicab in florence and amsterdam, cost was like 20 to 30 euros, worth every euro. ask how long tour and what you get (2, 3, 4 hours). have a fun day and cruise

  2. We will be in Florence in the fall and are looking to take a cooking class either on its own as as part of a tour. Has anyone done this?

    Hey Mickey22

A group of friends took a cooking class at mercato centrale (huge market) at cucina lorenzo de medici, on the 2nd floor. Lots of fun, (aprons, instructors, knowledge, laughs, eat your meal, wine, and diploma). as you stroll thru market, there are glass windows to watch others at this class, was about 60 euros for 1 1/2 hours.

You can also check getyourguide.com or eatingitalyfoodtours.com Haven't used them, did some research. Didn't want viator tours, not happy with them. Good Luck

  3. Do take the ride, we rode it about 4 years ago and was a blast! the gardens at top are very pretty. make sure someone will meet you at end of ride, doesnt go to bottom, long walk back to ship. we hired a taxi van service before cruise and email back and forth to confirm. waiting for us at ship's dock and we did tour of TOWN and coastal AREA. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND TOLD THEM WHAT I WAS INTERESTED IN and they gave me options which turned out great. maybe 4 hour tour and cost about 140 euros, split 5 ways. met people on our cruise through boards and were willing to share expense. great way to go and have a fantastic tour.
