craziest thing I heard and witnessed was onboard the Majesty of the Seas. The female was complaining rather irately that her cabin didn't look like the advertisement photo. Apparently, she wasn't happy with the tv location in her cabin. Silly.

I am going on a cruise in October and it is going to be my first as a solo traveler. I am looking forward to it! Not worried at all. I look forward to the freedom to go anywhere as I please and not having to think of anyone but myself for a change. I plan on doing the traditional dining, not sure if it is 530 or 630. I don't care if I eat alone or with a table full of people. As for activities, if it is of interest, I'll do it. Matters not if there are a lot of couples about. What matters most to me is just being able to get away, relax and enjoy the ship.

I wouldn't say that I hate anything..
what I dislike are
dress codes not being enforced on formal night
people wearing shorts and tshirts to dinner in the main dining room
staff not enforcing the rules regarding "NOT saving chairs on deck"
rude passengers
leaving the last day
WHAT I love is I am cruising in 173 days!

On my first cruise, I arranged to have BonVoyage decorations in the stateroom and on the cabin door.. it was a great surprise for my traveling companion, especially since it was her first cruise also plus her first vacation in many years.
So everybody feels that magnets are the best way to hang decorations?
I was thinking since I am cruising in december this year, that it might be nice to have a decoration on my cabin door or at the very least, a picture..
Dress code question.

I've noticed that on the three cruises I've been on, dress codes were never enforced.
Thing is, with Formal Night, part of the fun for me is dressing up. Some choose to dress down. It's a bit weird to sit there at dinner enjoying a good meal, wine, desserts, great service, etc wearing a nice outfit and then look over and see people in shorts and tshirt or folks making no effort but then again, if it is not enforced, then people will make no effort at all.
Basically, you can wear whatever you feel like wearing. Some of us love dressing up and others prefer not to be bothered.
Enjoy your cruise.
