Has anyone recently completed an Alaskan cruise on the Emerald Princess?

How was your experience? Why so many negative reviews lately? :o Hoping they

are just "pickier" than me.

Us too! We go to new places but like to enjoy formerly enjoyed cruises with friends and relatives who have never been.

I sit on the chairs in the Spa area and collect a $20 from everyone going to the fitness center on most Princess ships. But, no there is not a fee to use the facility.

ha ha!

Urban Suites Recoleta across the street from the cemetery. You would have to ask for a street view balcony. Nice rooftop sitting area. Reasonable prices for being in the middle of the great Recoleta neighborhood. Walk to everything. Very small hotel.

When we were in Buenos Aires, we would see young women walking around the Recoleta area dressed as princesses and carrying boxes looking like the old fashioned cigarette girls carried. They would approach people, lift up the lid and show them something. Also giving them a card sometimes. They seemed to avoid our group of people. Who are these ladies? It's been driving me crazy not to be able to figure out this nightly street scene. :confused:

Can you tell me the times for early and late dining?

Thank you for your nice review. We were on your cruise and also had a terrific time and enjoyed the Westerdam very much, in spite of the removal of the library. Oh well! I thought this was one of the nicest cruises we've been on. We found the food delicious and the service wonderful. The staff is out of this world and can't do enough for you. It is so enjoyable being treated like royalty!

How difficult is it to get a cab to your hotel after disembarkation in Fort Lauderdale? Is it better to arrange for a car? The hotel doesn’t provide shuttle service. Thanks.
