  1. HAHA, so.....I will respond to my own post and answer my own question because I just got a call from NCL and this might be helpful to someone else.

I was booked on a Nov. 8th - 19th 2015 11 Day Panama Cruise on the Pearl. I had a completed reservation as well as having completed my online check in in My NCL. I have been searching for the cruise on the NCL site and it has not been showing up. I still had a valid reservation so I though it was odd, but nothing more. I just got a call from NCL and the Pearl was "either chartered or scheduled for Dry Dock" that week and my trip was canceled.

We were able to switch to an October 18th sailing and luckily the two deck 10 afts were available on that trip.

So, if you ever search your cruise and it does not show on the NCL site CALL THEM. Do not do what I did and wait to see what happens. Lesson learned, and fortunately the only real change is I get to cruise a week early.

    Sorry for jacking the thread.

sixesandeights, I may be in your same "boat". I am booked on the Pearl for the 11/30/15 sail date which is a 10 day PC partial transit with a stop in Aruba . I booked 2-3 weeks ago. The cruise was on the website for a day or two and then they took it down. Today, it's back up but the only sailing available is in March 2016, same ports with the exception of Aruba.

I e-mailed my TA to see what she can find out. I suppose I could switch to the 11 day in October but was really looking forward to Aruba.

  2. Thank you, dolita22 and Marieux, for the info on the Sky. I'm looking forward to sailing her again in December and seeing what has changed in all these years.

Marieux, I see where you're cruising on the Getaway this December. You'll love it! We just did the 3-15 cruise and it was great. I don't know how you booked it, but you may want to call your TA and ask to see if they can give you an upgrade. We originally had a regular balcony on Deck 8, and then my NCL TA gave us an upgrade to a Spa Balcony, which means you can have access to the Thermal Suite at the Mandara Spa. Only passengers in Spa Balconies or Spa Mini-Suites can have complimentary access to the Spa which normally costs $45/per day. Also, wait until the last day to do your onboard shopping, as they will have BIG discounts on almost everything onboard. Make sure you make your show reservations before going on the cruise. They go fast. The crew was fantastic, and there is always something to do. Have a great cruise! :)

Thanks for the Getaway tips, BeesandLadybug. Our balcony is on Deck 14 but will definitely look into the upgrade. I am looking forward to the trip.

  3. Hi there, we cruised the Sky this past October 2013.

We enjoyed it very much. We went with 5 couples and we had children ranging from 7 -12 years old and they loved Kid's Corner. They loved it so much that many of them spent most of their time in there as opposed to out by the pool area. Part of that is because there are no slides or waterparks on this ship, but Kid's Corner, their activities and staff made up for alot of that. My son stayed there while we ventured into Nassau as well as during dinner. We made sure our kids went to the buffet prior to taking them to Kid's Corner for the evening. They would rather go there than sit in the MDR.

    I hope this helps.
