  1. Hi All! I've been told I'm able to book NCL Epic Transatlantic Rome to FL so long as I work while sailing. This would be a HUGE bucket list tick for me so I'm looking for advise from "frequent cruisers". I'd like to know NCL price to upgrade just the internet from my Free at Sea. Second, anyone who has sailed Italy, France & across the Atlantic, recently - is there a good enough connection to access "insurance company webpages", as a prime example. I've spoken with 2 NCL reps over the phone but neither were able to answer these questions so I'm trying my luck her. Thanks for your help 🙂

just received an email about 5 might or less inside cabin, need to take within the next 2 months.

Unfortunately we are already booked for April 7 day on Oasis.

    My gambling info:

I sailed Anthem for NYE and played maybe $200 in slot's. Cashed out $500. So net profit $300.

Can you gift your free cabin?? 😂🤣😂

Could be Westwind II which is near Cable beach.    There is a Sandals in that general area but not sure they allow tour groups into their resorts.

Never tried this excursion.   You can do an easy walk to Junkanoo beach from the cruise terminal.   There are a couple of huts that serve food and drink and rent a lounger/umbrella very reasonable.     Walk or take the Jitney No. 10 to the Fish Fry - lots of great food places to try there.

Or here is something I recently found online and probably will be doing on my next trip to Nassau end of March.   Clifton Heritage National Park

    https://www.bahamas.com/plan-your-trip/things-to-do/clifton-heritage-national-park

Snorkeling looks like a lot of fun here with underwater statues, sunken plane from James Bond movie and Jaws beach has sunken boat from the movie.

They offer a package deal of $88 pp that includes round trip transportation and can arrange to pick you up at the British Colonial Hilton Nassau - 5 or 10 minute walk from cruise terminal, includes a walking tour, snorkel tour, lunch which I am told is usually a grilled fish or grilled chicken selection, access to the beaches with loungers and facilities to change clothes.

Great Info - Thank You 🙂

From my experience it seems Royal adjusts the offers based on your spending. My mom could spend several hundred dollars, at times up to $1k in the casino during a cruise. For the first time in Nov I spent between $100-$150 in the casino during one cruise. I started receiving free inside offers on 3/4 night sailings as well as $100 off any sailing. The offers began in late January. Meanwhile my mom seems to receive a new offer every week that includes free a jr suite or balcony on sailings up to 8 nights.

That's Awesome! I'm going to give it a go when I cruise 4/28/22. Thank You! 🙂

The cruise is essentially free (if you stay in the cabin class you were offered). Yeah, you need to pay the port fees and taxes for each person which is a couple of hundred bucks per person. For example, a 7-night Caribbean cruise the casino covers the $3348 cruise fare. And you pay the $145 port taxes and fees (per person).  Upgrades cost depend on the value of the room you were comp'ed in versus the room that you want to upgrade to.

Take advantage of free rooms when you can. If you spend a little time in the casino on your next cruise, the free cruises will keep coming.

Pre-pandemic, there were a lot of cruises where upwards of 25% of the adults onboard were sailing with a casino offer. Land-based casino stateroom comps, land-based discounts, Casino Royale discounts, Casino Royale comps. If you have an offer, don't pay retail.

Is this just for those that spend a substantial amount in the Casino??

Hi there! Windjammer's is open for dinner, though the atmosphere in the main dining room was more vibrant for dinner (at least on my sailing). Definitely get seats for Ice Under the Big Top — the skating show — as reviews were incredibly enthusiastic. You will need reservations and it books up quickly. Two two song and dance shows were fine, though I'd say the game shows (Love & Marriage in particular) and anything hosted by Monica (trivia, karaoke, etc.) are all well worth your time. The hotel director told me we were around 60% capacity -- 1600+ pax.

Do they still do the Quest Game Show??? Its My FAV 🙂

Hi there. It's been a great cruise. Sadly my time on CocoCay was cut short by a rather intense downpour that cut into my lunchtime (I wound up eating on the ship instead). Let me dig into this for you. If you didn't already know, there's a really good vegan menu as part of the included Main Dining menu onboard, as well as options Izumi (they can make vegan sushi). Stay tuned for an update.

Thank you for digging, that would be amazing. I did see the vegan MD options, didn't know Izumi had options too - I'm so excited. 🙂

    Saturday 9/21 ( Part 2 )

We dropped the car at National at 1100am, and took the free National Shuttle to the port.  Very efficient and worked very well.

We all had Faster to the Fun so we could board at 1130am.

The Embarkation was smooth and very efficient, the whole process  from start to finish took maybe 15 minutes, and that included stopping for a group photo before boarding.

Boarded on Deck 7 (Empress ) which was the deck where our rooms where.  Our room E144 was more in the middle of the ship, and the others were all in the front.  Our room was ready, so we dropped our backpacks and headed to Guest Services.  I had 400.00 in AARP Gift Cards to put on our account. The whole process including the line was maybe 10 minutes.

We all agreed to meet on the Lido deck for lunch so off we went, Guys Burgers here we come.

As Expected the burgers were great, short fast line and life is good.  We kicked around getting familiar with the ship and the layout. We had a couples massage at 5 so we needed to kill some time.

My wife is Gluten Free and we had given Carnival the heads up before and thought we might need to check in at our dining room to make sure they were aware.  We had 815pm dining so off to the Imagination Dining Room which was at the AFT of the ship.  Got there and there was nobody present.  Not a big deal, and we were confident all would be well.  And it was.

Around 330pm it was time for the Muster. We had Muster F which is on the Lido Deck near the Stage.  It was short maybe 15 minutes.  When you arrived to the muster station they scanned your card and you just stayed to the side, until they showed how to put on a life jacket, and how to put a life jacket on a stuffed shark ( which represented and infant under 35 pounds ).

After muster we checked to see if our luggage had arrived and it had. Our two bags were patiently sitting outside E144 waiting to be unpacked.  E144 is an oceanview room which is nice, and we had it set up with a king bed.  We unpacked slid the suitcases under the bed, checked out the TV and relaxed.

We purchased a 12pk of water it was already in the room, and I brought a six pack of soda.  I put the 6 pack in the fridge, although that thing was pitiful.  Those drinks never got any cooler.  It was not an issue for us, but it might bother someone.

    Be back with more shortly.

QUESTION:  I'm booked in Cabin E144 as well for my 1/11/2020 Girls Cruise for a friends 60th Bday. Do you have an pictures of the cabin? Whats your opinion of the cabin??

  10. TOTALLY agree with you! We were on this cruise as well as the 21st. We had a fabulous time!!! Was everything perfect? No.....but we were treated so well. Loved every minute of it! Will post a picture review as soon as I can get all the pictures sorted! Stay tuned!

Did you happen to get pics of any menus or the Compass? We sail out on Monday (8/4) and I'm super anxious! :D Let me know. Thanx!
