My wife and I are doing back to back cruises in February and we'll be away from our SUV for 14 days. I was looking at port parking and that will be $280, which is a bit too high for me. Plan B was to stay at one of the hotels that allows you to leave your car there while at sea but I haven't been seeing good revues for them, nor do I know how secure they are.

Plan C (my current option) I am thinking of parking at Miami International Airport for $8/day and using the Carnival shuttle. I figure I will be paying $112 for parking plus $64 for the round trip bus for the two of us. This should save me about $100 as compared to parking at the port, and there should be a bit more security than parking at the hotels.

Should I be considering other options and does anyone have suggestions? Thanks for your input!

This reminds me of a very humourous prank I pulled on a couple of actresses from "The Young and The Restless" a few years back. These two had already had a long day when they got into my limo to go to yet another public appearance. Without telling them I put the "Just Married" sign on the back of my limo and off we went.

On hour 45 minute drive we had all sorts of people honking as they went by and giving my passengers the thumbs up or just waving at what they thought were the newlyweds. As it was there were four women and one very gay guy in the back of the limo. Once I told them about the sign they were all having a good laugh and were all set to go!

The next day with the same car load I took a magic marker and put a big line through married and wrote "Divorced" above it. We got lots of strange looks and lots of laughs. We saw one Asian gentleman with his car decorated for a wedding and he was NOT impressed at all!

I'm taking mom on an upcoming cruise and I wonder what she'd say if I did something like this on our cabin door? LMAO
