Heard from friends who boarded Solstice yesterday. The 6 foot pool was empty upon boarding. Crew told them the pools were extra warm because the ship had come down from Alaska. Apparently there were a lot of complaints about pool and cabin heat during the last cruise (1st to the MexRiv), so the pool was drained and the water temperature was lowered. Happy to see Celebrity being responsive.
Still no confirmation if berries are available. No blueberries or raspberries available to guests on our 9/24 sailing other than single fruits in random drinks or as cake toppers.
On the Solstice now heading to PV. She looks beautiful! Great Motown show last night blew the lid off the theater. Love how they still have live musicians instead of canned music like most cruise lines switched to. Fish dinner was to die for. Could use more TV’s in the bars showing NFL games but oh well I can do that at home. Service is OUTSTANDING. Internet is spotty.

I am the author of the Disappointed about the Solstice thread. It's ironic, but our check-in in LA / San Pedro was smooth and efficient. We dropped our bags with a porter, tipped him, had our express pass scanned what seemed like 4 or 5 times at different choke points and boarded the ship. No complaints about check in. Both port staff and ship staff were 5 star during the check in process.... in our experience. Obviously we can't speak to the b2b process.
Are they showing the NFL games on the big screens above the pool?

Sometimes, Princess has a bumper car experience -- if the waters at Cabo are rough, but not rough enough to cancel the port visit. (I'm referring to the tenders banging into the ship.)
Not funny!
Alright, maybe a little ;)

Going on a 12 day cruise out of San Pedro with alot of luggage (thanks to the DW). How much should I tip the guys putting it on the ship?

What is the best way to transport a case of wine from my car at the San Pedro Terminal to the ship? I have those reusable cloth bags they give you at the wine store and the cardboard box they came in from the store.
Should I also bubble wrap them? How hard is it to get them out to be stamped by Princess? Should I then carry them to the MDR for safe keeping until our cabin is ready? Should they be checked baggage?

Ask for a dirty grey goose martini. After the second nothing will seem the same

The package is per person, Princess is well aware of people trying to beat the system.
Its theft so I would not want to be the one to test those waters.
Okay, but how do they catch you? It is a very big ship.
Undercover Spies, cameras, DNA testing on used glasses?
