  1. We cruise with my kids quite frequently. I wouldn’t have them that far away. Cruise hallways all look the same. It is easy to get lost getting back to the room. Unless you walked the kids to their room or checked in with them before you headed to bed for the night, I’d be concerned about them getting back to their rooms safely at night or even during the day for that matter. We’re going on the escape this year and I couldn’t get close rooms. We are one adult and one tween per room

  2. We just got back. We took a city can tour right outside the port. We told the woman where we wanted to go and she switched the itinerary of the regular city circle to include maho. Honestly the 30 minutes we were there was enough. We saw three planes land and one take off.

  3. Just off the anthem. We were very annoyed that nobody enforced jacket dress code at grande. We took the time and space to pack jackets and literally 1/4 of the restaurant was not wearing or even hanging on the back of chairs. There were also some people in tuxes and gowns but they looked crazy out of place. The other main dining rooms saw a mix of pants and shorts for the men.

  4. We were just off the this sailing as well. Our steward nicely out blankets under all our mattresses so our beds were not as hard as I previously heard. She was a wonderful steward.

We had reservations prior to boarding for dinner. We were a party of 6 with one wheelchair. We did the dynamic dining but we do eat early at 6:00. About three months out we tried to book and everything on line was full but we called and the reservations operator was able to help after about 40 minutes. We boarded with a table for 6 every night. We weren't picky about the restaurants. First night was grande which we thoug was excellent and wound up changing one of our silk nights to a third night at grande. Personally I would have rather kept silk and traded in American icon but my mother hated her silk meal ( and she was right what she ordered was horrid but the rest of us had good dinners). My complaints with the dining rooms was it was always a surprise that we had a wheelchair in our party and they would freak out about table assignments and make my dad very uncomfortable. Actually all in all the concept of disability on this ship was deplorable. My dad was told can't you just walk the three steps to get into the North Star ( uh no he is a paralyzed veteran). Even the night they saluted the vets they did it on a stage with stairs. But that's another story.

I highly suggest going in the morning down to Deck 4 to talk to the restaurant hospitality crew. They will help you to their best ability get a reservation.

  5. North Star onky went over the sea on sea days where it wasn't too windy. I didn't do it but my son did it on standby about 4 times. He waited anywhere from walking right on to 40 minutes the last sea day. Ripcord was amazing. But you needed a reservation. When we were there two in my party decided not to go but I heard them still tell people no walk ups and the instructor commented on our small group

  6. Just off the nine day anthem. We had a wonderful time overall. It was myself, husband, 14 yo son, old daughter and my parents. ( my dad uses a wheelchair so any questions about accessibility I can address. I'm sitting in mounds of laundry but will do a short review later.

Had a great time. Unfortunately we had a terrible rocky start and my thoughts are with the family and that poor child. We also had another passenger with a severe medical emergency at the end of the trip but it seems as though rcl handled everything to the best of thhluck or ability.

  7. Oh my goodness that was some incredible autocorrect!!! Sorry folks. Thanks for deciphering. We leave Thursday so I was trying to avoid a rush purchase. I was planning on buying a new one come the start of school as I know he'll use it but he's just outgrowing things so quickly! The last one we had only lasted two months
