  1. I have the card and want to stop using it so much but have built up a decent amount of points since Covid started since we haven't been on a cruise in awhile. If I want to cash in for a free cruise can I also cash in later for OBC for that same cruise? Or can I have my husband cash in rewards for OBC?

  2. No pole in 8626. As for noise, it wasn't bad for me until the last night. Friday night, totally quiet. Saturday night, moving chairs woke my husband up and then Sunday night I heard lots and lots of carts going back and forth overhead.

I'd probably still book that room in the future because the location was pretty ideal and the room and balcony size were nice. I might just have some ear plugs or white noise app on my phone available. I can sort of overlook/forgive work related noise like moving chairs or carts because I also didn't have people running up and down the halls, noisy neighbors or general party type noise that I find to be more distracting.

  3. Thanks everyone, ended up booking 8626, it was the closest cabin to the aft elevators on Starboard side that was available for our b2b2b. Hope it won’t be too noisy with carts running over head!!

Just got off 8626 this morning. We did have some carts in the middle of the night but other than that it was a great location. Hardly any plugs in the room though.

  4. I’m in 8626 now and it’s not too bad of a location. It seems pretty central in its location and is easy to get anywhere. You can hear some music from the centrum area at night and my husband heard some chairs being moved on the 9th floor pretty late last night but it’s not terrible. It’s pretty much under the ping pong area and Solarium entrance so I’m guessing they were maybe cleaning that area last night when my husband heard the chairs moving

  5. My favorite watch is still my Citizen Eco Drive!

We bought my husband a Eco Drive watch in St. Thomas that he loves but after 9 years the band broke and we can't get a replacement. Its rubber and is an odd shape and we even wrote to the company to find a new one and they couldn't help. What a bummer, he loves that watch and other than the band, it was great.

  6. I have the card, initially used it to get some free points from the sign up bonus. Now I use it sporadically and for all RC expenses to get double points. I say go for it, you can always cancel later

Instead of adding another thread, I'll ask my question here. Can you transfer points to another card? I thought I did that before but I don't see much on their site about FAQs or a way to contact anyone. If I was able to combine my points and my husband's, we'd have enough to get more OBC

  7. Cafe Latte-Tudes brewed Starbucks when we were on Enchantment and it was included in our drink package. ALSO keep in mind that they will make an alcoholic Starbucks drink as well. Ask for a iced bourbon mint mocha. My wife was pretty sad to come home and have to go to a "regular" Starbucks :)

Which drink package did you have to get to include Starbucks/Cafe Latte-Tudes? My daughter and husband don't drink much soda but they both like fun coffee drinks

  8. Indeed. My son is a sophomore and all it lists on his school issued ID is his name, photo, grade and the high school's name.

While I think it's best to travel with a passport, i agree that in this particular situation the OP will have a much easier time getting a state ID for this girl than a passport. Plus, passports cost around $180.

If you have the means and the time and are willing to help get her the passport, that will make things so much easier for her for later. Not just for the cruise but for starting her adult life. My daughters boyfriend comes from an odd family situation and although its cost us extra money and time to do some things for him, in the end, it feels good knowing that he won't slip through the cracks because he comes from a non-typical home

  9. Chair hogs don't really bother me too much since my husband and I don't usually sit together much. I burn too easily to be in the full sun and he doesn't want to sit in the warm but shady parts. Usually I'll sit in a sunny-ish area of the Solarium and read while going from chair to pool and back and he'll go on the top deck in full sun and come down to the shade of the Solarium to see me every once in awhile. I'm too Irish to hang out with him in the full sun.

I don't mind moving stuff though. If I've occupied a chair for an hour or more and I know for sure if someone hasn't been at a chair near me I will mention it to people looking for a chair. I'll just say "I don't know if the person who reserved that chair is part of a group with anyone else but I haven't seen anyone in it since I've been there". Then that gives people in chairs near me to say that that is a relative or friend of theirs or agree with me that its probably fair game.

  10. Still hoping to hear from someone who has cruised on Brilliance ,perhaps within the last month.

I just got off Brilliance this morning. Anything specific you want to know?

I did self-assist instead of waiting for our number because we wanted to get back home. We left our room at 7 and were in line for customs by 7:30. Very easy. Customs was easy, the guy asked us one question and then we were out the door. We did valet parking and it took maybe 10 minutes for them to get our car. In that time, I saw many people leaving in airport shuttles with no wait. The guys had signs that said airport shuttles, non-stop $8. Not sure if that was per person or group

  11. The straw market on Coco Cay isn't all that great, unless its your only stop and then its just fine ;) I burn easily and I've found shade each time without much trouble. I've gone early, played for a few hours underneath one of the palm trees then for lunch just headed back to the ship. I did go back to the island one time but in the afternoon the sun makes it so hot I don't really find it worth going back. The BBQ is just OK also. Not bad since its free but I can usually find a meal just as good in the windjammer
