  1. Not sure about Carnival but Princess did AFL games on our Hawaii trip last year as long as the satellite could pick it up. It was great as you could watch it on TV in your room. You got Friday Night and Saturday Night Games but depending where we were sometimes they did not start until very late. The Anzac game was also on.

  2. Has anyone made a claim through Covermore or Australia Post Insurance and if the claim was satisfactory. The Issuer of these two are Great Lakes UK operating here as Great Lakes Australia. I am thinking of using one of them for next cruise.

  3. We are going to be on Carnival over the Anzac Day clash between Collingwood and Essendon.

Was wondering if any of you have been on board during a game, and if it is shown live in the sports bar?

Princess show 3 games over the weekend including Friday Night. These games are shown on your TV in room. On our 35 night cruise in April I watched a couple of games around Midnight because I had to allow for the time difference. Being a Collingwood Supporter I saw most of our games while away. I do think the Anzac Clash was one of them.

  4. Thanks for the advice, we were at that port last year and got a shuttle to Brisbane . but this time we want to drive up to Sunshine coast and it seems the best way is to get a car. Seems silly the hire cars don't deliver.

Did you book the Taxi or just find one?

We did not book the Taxi as my son had no trouble getting off the ship once it had docked. He then came back to the ship for the rest of us...8 in all.

We had booked a Carnival car to carry 8... through his work $100 for the day which was a good price.

All of the bigger ships have to dock here.

  5. you might have to get the shuttle into Brisbane and get the hire car from there and drop it off back in Brisbane, never caught the shuttle from there but i believe it takes about 45 minutes one way

There are no Hire Cars there only Taxis. Last month my Son caught a Taxi to the Airport where he had arranged to pick up a Hire Car. The Taxi was $30 each way. We all went down to Dreamworld for a few hours....we met our family who lives in Queensland. You will need to allow time to drop back the car and then Taxi it back to the ship. This is quite an out of the way place. It took 40 mins to get to Dreamworld.

  6. We have an inside cabin D325 booked for the 35 night cruise on Sea Princess in April and am wondering if a bedside table can fit beside the Queen Bed and also if you can easily get around the bed. Going by the photo on the Princess site the small table is not showing. Would appreciate it if someone could answer this question please. Also do you know what they did when the ship went into dry dock in San Francisco before coming out to Australia?

    Many thanks,

    Jfadra.
