  1. Thanks for the very detailed write up. I will check out that Roll Call.

Got to be honest, when I woke up this morning I wasn't planning on going on a Cruise.  My wife called me at Noon and told me she booked it so now I am looking up things and want to make sure we are all set. (We had cruise credits that are about to expire and she said she got a great deal.) 🙂

Before Covid we use to sail all the time and have been down in that region so many times normally we don't  get off the ship at port.  But I want to have everything ready in case we do decide to get off the ship.

Thanks again for the great write up.

  2. Thanks for this, we just booked today for a Halloween Cruise to Bermuda.

The NCL person on the phone told us they did a rapid covid test at Checkin.  Reading what you wrote here I am guessing this is NOT the case.  Would we be better off getting a test done at home and bring the results with us?  Will that test be good for Bermuda as well?

    Thanks!

  3. Thanks for this thread. We just booked the S7 in Room 11106. Looking forward to it. It does not look as big as our owners suite that we had on the Oasis of the Seas... but it will do. :D

We are headed out at the end of April. :D

  4. So far its working great. As I type this I am sitting in my lounge chair on the deck of my owners suite room. We are currently docked in Nassau and I am out here with my laptop.

Even though I paid for the one device plan I am able to log on from my iPhone and check mail with the laptop on. I have never had to log back into the laptop even when I shut it down and turn it back on. On the iPhone though I have to keep logging in every 10 minutes or so, but thats ok I am on vacation. :)

I asked if unlimited internet was being rolled out to other ships and was told they didn't even know they were getting it until they got the new flyers in.

A lot of stuff is blocked though, for example I can't send an iMessage on my iPhone to my son. I can not check for app updates in the itunes store. I had a friend who owns a radio station have an issue and he wanted me to log into his system to take a look... but port 8000 is blocked. And finally a friend sent me over joke which he said was very funny.. I clicked on the link and was told that Adult / Porn sites are blocked. (I guess it was a dirty joke) :D

But overall it works great and I love sitting out here on my laptop not worrying about time and my bill. :D

  5. Here is a photo of the flyer and a copy of the login Screen from my iPhone.

Haven't figured how to logout yet on my laptop... but each time I have logged in on my phone the internet has worked on my phone too. (My laptop was off.)

And here is the other one...

As far as the unlimited drinks go, we don't drink so I haven't found out about that one.

And as far as our Owners Suite goes we like it so far. We are on the ship now. Our room is on the 10th floor. Room 10240 to be exact. Have not heard any noise here in the room so far tonight.

We are supposed to go see the show at the Aqua Theater but its kind of windy outside, wouldn't surprise me if they cancel it.

  6. They have several different packages.

$5.99 for a Half Hour Session, which can only be used in the internet cafe.

$8.99 for an Hour Session, also only available in the internet cafe.

$24.99 for a Daily Plan, with continuous access from time of purchase for a 24 hour period.

$69.99 for a Daily Family Plan, where you can use up to 4 devices to log in simultaneously.

$149.95 for the Cruise Plan, which is unlimted access for the duration of the cruise.

$419.95 for the Weekly Family Plan which is Unlimited access for the duration of the cruise for 4 devices.

We have the Cruise Plan and can access the internet with different devices on the same plan, as long as only one is logged in at a time.

ETA: I don't believe this is a suite perk, as they didn't know we were booked in a suite when we were given the information.

I do have the brochure, and will try to upload it later.

  7. Just got on board the Allure of the Seas (We have an Owners suite which is AWESOME!) and I was very happy to learn that Unlimited Internet Access is now available on the Allure for $149 a week.

With that package you can have one device connected at a time. I haven't figured out how to log out yet on my laptop so I can log in from my iphone. I tried the old http://1.1.1.1 but that is not working... anyone know how I log out?

Yippie this will save me a lot of $$$. :)

  8. noone from section was going up so I ran up, dropped my pants, and made my boxer briefs into a thong by pulling them straight up my you know what.

Oh so that was you! That had is laughing as did the guy who decided to grin and bare it. :D

I purchased the cruise DVD just because Ken said the QUEST Show was going to be on it, but I didn't even see a mention of it when I played it today.. very sad as it was the only reason we purchased it.

  9. On my 8/14 cruise, there was only a single 18-21 event at Bliss and my daughter and friend went and said it was awful -- that no one was there. There were no other mentions of this age group in the daillies....
We had an 18 year old with us last week when we went, she HATED the cruise because she couldn't take part int he teen events with her sister and there was nothing for her to do at 18. (She ended up being a 3rd wheel with us adults for most of the week, which was annoying at times...)

And yes she went to the 18 Year Olds party at Bliss but only stayed about 15 minutes because no one else was there.

NCL really needs to loosen up on the 18 - 21 year olds and let them in with the teens if they choose to go.
