  1. Hi we just went through this on the Carnival Panorama sailing to Mexico last week. Upon arriving for embarkation there will be a separate line for those who need to be tested to have that done. You’ll wait until your results are shared, and proceed with embarkation like everyone else. On the second to last day of the cruise you’ll get a note on your door asking you to come to a testing spot on the last full day of the cruise. For us it was a conference room where they will administer antigen testing. After that they’ll ask you to stay in your room for 30 minutes, no news is good news,  and other than that carry on with enjoying the rest of your cruise. We didn’t get a positive result, so I’m not sure what the outcome would be should that happen.  Also, I was under the impression this would cost an additional $120 for both tests., but it wasn’t in our onboard account and I’m not really sure if it’s been charged yet or how. I’ll follow up once I figure that out.

  2. @jerseygirlinAZ Thank you so much for this review, it's so helpful to see ahead of our cruise in July. My unvaccinated 5-year-old daughter is  coming with us on this cruise, and I just applied for the exemption, which it seems like from the website we should be granted. If your daughter is unvaxxed, I'm curious if you could just describe some of your experience on this cruise. Did they require additional testing, not allowed to participate in certain activities or be in certain public areas? Just generally what was your experience sailing with a child in the Covid era? Thanks so much!

  5. Thank you for this live review. I work on the business side for Cruise Critic, and have really been itching to go on a cruise. I've always wanted to sail a Solstice-class ship, but I also want to go to Bermuda, and well, you can't do both. Some of the standout features that I've always wanted to experience are the lawn club, glass blowing, spa and spa cafe. What are the most unique features one would find onboard Summit? And even though this is a refurbed ship, does it feel old, can you tell it's on the older side or would one feel like they are on a nearly new ship because of the improvements? Thanks in advance for your input!
