  1. Just off the Allure of the Seas. Our table was number 172, floor 3 in the Adagio. We were seated in the area surrounding the captain's table. The table's view of the chandelier and captain's table are blocked by a large column and that table is right next to the speakers for the live music that plays almost nightly and it was difficult to talk with our table mates. The music was wonderful just loud being that close. It was set for 8 but the 1st night it was just me and my husband. The rest of the week, two other couples were added to our table by the dining room staff. If given the choice, we would not sit there again.

  2. I have booked here for the day we are in Cozumel, it will be myself and my two sons 14 and 11. When I booked it I was probably thinking more about how much I would enjoy being here, but now I'm wondering if the boys will be bored? Should I have booked somewhere that is geared more towards family/kids? I just liked that this place only takes 100 people per day, so it won't be overcrowded. Anyone that has been here, what are your thoughts?

NC has water activities you can purchase such as snorkeling and jet skis. I will be honest and say when I was there before, I don't remember seeing kids. I've read other posts that Mr. Sanchos is another popular AI that families have gone to. It depends on what you all want to do. I think they would enjoy NC however, if they are looking for other kids to hang out with, they may not find many.

  3. Can you rent floating mats to use in the pool or ocean there? If so, how much and for how long? Thanks!

  4. My very first cruise was on the Fascination back in 2003. At the time, I didn't know how much I was going to love cruising! Now, it's our favorite vacation! I would love to have a ship magnet from the Fascination as I have one from every other cruise I've taken since. If someone is going to be on the Fascination any time soon, please let me know. I will pay you for the magnet cost and the cost to ship it to me in Ohio! I would like a magnet that shows the ship and it's name only. Thank you!!

  5. I am looking for a Carnival Fascination ship magnet? Preferably a pewter one of only the ship. It was my first cruise back in 2003 before I realized how much I love cruising and started collecting ship magnets on each cruise since. My 5th cruise is 27 days away!! If someone can get me one, please let me know! Thank you!

  6. My husband was on a mission trip in Jamaica back in 2007. He was bitten by a mosquito and the bite resulted in dengue fever. Once you have dengue fever, you have it for life. If you get it again, there is a high risk of serious health problems developing. He came home from the trip, and started complaining of flu like symptoms. We took him to the hospital because his fever was steadily increasing every 20 minutes. They ran a battery of tests and then quarantined us because they thought he had TB. He was sent to an infectious disease doctor who ran more blood tests and after a few days dengue fever was diagnosed. The biggest concern was his enlarged spleen and he wasn't allowed to leave the couch for a week for fear his spleen would rupture. They pumped him full of meds, poor guy. Thank God he is well today, but that was scary. We are sailing the western carribean in August and will not be getting off the boat in Jamaica!! Wear bug spray and take precautions, that's all you can do.

  7. Wow, what a downer thread. So negative. :( We try not to let anything bother us on a cruise. We are blessed to be able to cruise so we treasure every moment, even the little annoying ones. ;) Attitude is everything.

I agree! I'm thankful to be cruising... Attitude makes the difference!

  8. Hi,

My fiance and I will be visiting Nachi Cocom on August 29 while we're on our Allure of the Sea honeymoon cruise! I can't wait.

A couple questions for you pros out there...

Can we pay the taxi and the balance at Nachi Cocom in USD?

We are scheduled for a snorkelling session at 9:00? I understand that this is when the place opens. I'm wondering if we would be better off trying to switch to the afternoon... Will all the good palapas be gone by the time we return from snorkelling?

We are also planning on jetskiing? Can we leave our stuff at our palapa while we do that?

    Thanks so much!

Hello and congrats! My husband and I are also going to Nachi Cocum that day from the Allure, along with a family of 3. We are thinking of sharing a taxi to save on the fare, would you be interested in joining us on the taxi there? All of us want to get there early too! We've been before and it is amazing!
