You may want to try a mock booking online before throwing MAS under the bus. Base fares are cheap. Taxes and port fees, charged PP are the same no matter what. Â
.
For some mysterious reason the fare is usually the same no matter which promotion is running. The exception to this was using GovX for the 'Heroes' promo which actually was significantly more expensive. Â
I definitely did the mock booking. The new deal would be over $400 more for the cruise in a breezy balcony that we’d planned to book. With the total price and then the $300 fuel surcharge (4 people/5 nights). I’m looking at pricing that is almost as much as the Carnival Celebration or Mardi Gras 7 night cruise for the same sail dates.Â
As a lifelong JB fan (RIP) and a Tampa resident, I was really wanting to do this cruise. But MSC Or Carnival really have better pricing on some really nice ships.Â- 1

I was hoping to call in to make a Reservation for the Islander in September today. I didn’t want to book online because I wanted to choose my own cabin. Yesterday I received an email stating this buy one get 3 passengers was good until 2/12.  Today I call to find out that corporate decided to end the promotion early and today it’s back to the usual buy one get one. I guess I’ll spend my cruise $ elsewhere. I’m bummed out because I was kind of excited to try MargaritavilleÂ

Unfortunately, I have to actually sign up all four passengers to get the answer and I'd rather not do that until we're sure to go. $749 for 4 people sounds like a "too good to be true" situation. Can someone who has done this cruise give me an approximation of the taxes/fees that are additional to the fare?
$550 taxes and fee for 4. Â Today the buy 1 get three free sale seems to be over. So 4 will cost significantly more. Hopefully it returns. I was going to book it when I had time to make a call in to reservations because I wanted to choose my own cabin. Unfortunately, it looks like I waited too long.Â

Hi,Â
Is there a way to choose your actual stateroom number? I’m finding the booking process to be a bit different than from what I’ve experienced with other cruise linesÂ
thanks,

On Seashore currently. It would surprise me greatly if you couldn't smell the smoke in the balcony you're describing. The deck 8 smoking area aft of the hump is wider and is quite full of smokers and at all hours.Â
Ok then…. Thank you for the reply. Enjoy the rest of your cruise!

On sister ship seashore, we loved aurea balcony on deck 9. Not too noisy and the balcony is twice the size of a regular balcony.
Hi. Were you starboard? Forward or aft? I’m trying to find out I’d notice any smells from the smoking areas on starboard deck 8.
Â
thanks

Hello! I’m booked in a deck 9 starboard balcony (Jr suite area) for our upcoming cruise. It is my understanding that deck 8 starboard is a smoking area. Has anyone here been in those balconies? Specifically a little aft of the hump. If so, did you smell smoke from below?
thanks,
Ron

Very likely you can only do this via a phone call.
Ok. Thank you.Â

So I am having trouble finding a TA who honors this no deposit thing. I’m pretty sure that you can’t recommend TAs on the boards. IDK really?  I’ve used a couple of web based TAs in the past and when I search their booking interface it still shows a deposit is owed... How can I find one that isn’t asking for a deposit? Is it ok on the boards to send me in the general direction of one? If so, can someone help me out here?
Â
thanksÂ

If you book through a TA you can make a booking and the deposit is not dipped intil May 31 to allow time for the FCC to come in.  The FCC can then be used and if it’s large enough to cover the deposit then no deposit is neededÂ
Thank you!

Thanks for the replies! I guess that I will need to find a travel agent who can book me with no deposit and then have them apply the FCC once it is issued to me. My 125% FCC should cover the entire cost of a similar cabin for a fall cruise.Â
Âthanks again!

We were scheduled to cruise on 5/2/2020 Symphony Of The Seas. We are anxious to set a new sail date ASAP since getting time off together as a family can be challenging. My 125% FCC isn’t scheduled to be issued until April 30. Some of the Symphony sailings in the fall that we are looking at as a replacement cruise have already gone up in price for a similar cabin and we’d like to book while they are still in our FCC price range. However, we don’t have the money to put a new down payment now.  If I call, can a Royal Caribbean agent book this for us and use the FCC that hasn’t officially been issued yet?
Â
thanks

Since last July, they’ve canceled Forever Frank, they’ve taken Michael Jackson out of Timeless and added Greatest Showman vocal performances to it.  The biggest change is the addition of the Starwalker (Michael Jackson) show, which IMO is the best show on any cruise that I’ve been on.

I disembarked today. They would not permit my daughter to enter the thermal suite and she turns 18 in a few weeks.Â

Thank you for your review.

We have the same type of room booked for this upcoming Saturday. Did you use the minibar? If so, did they replenish it each time the room was made or once per day?

I’m just wondering if anyone has heard whether or not the MJ show has returned. Or if they have a return date set...

Starwalker show is back on Seaside in a week!
Â
That’s great news!  Is it actually the Starwalker show (like on Divina)? Or is it the Timeless show?  Do you have a link to this announcement?
Â
thank you!

Seaview Lounge is on Deck 8 (across from the sports bar) and they had live music every night. Early evening they had a guy playing the piano, and later in the evening they had a very good jazz trio.
Â
Also, Timeless no longer has the Michael Jackson impersonator. It's been replaced with a montage of songs from The Greatest Showman.
Â
This is as of the 11/17 sailing.
I really hope this is temporary! Â Michael Jackson show was so good on the Divina and we were really looking forward to the one on Seaside in January. My girls are huge MJ fans and this will make them extremely upset
Where to get Discounted Carnival Gift Cards..??
in Carnival Cruise Lines

How do you use these gift cards to book a cruise? I’m online and I’d like to use a gift card, but the only options to make it down payment say credit card, or PayPal.
Â
thanks
