Is Crew Appreciation mandatory? How much is it?

 Simple questions...Are the daily service fees mandatory? Would we be allowed to tip directly to whom we wish to, and how much we wish to tip?

How would we stop the automatic fees from appearing on our folio?

We really enjoy their talents, wondering where they are.

Which  HAL ships have the balcony door opening directly onto the promenade deck instead of an individual balcony?

We had a serious problem with our mini suite on the Encore Maiden Voyage. Customer Relations onboard opened a case# for us and sent it to Miami. We have not even received an acknowledge from NCL Miami. As of today  all attempts at speaking with a live person have failed. All correspondence has been totally ignored. They have just stone walled the issue.

I am disappointed and frustrated by this lack of even a simple reply.

Any suggestions other than sail another cruise line?

please tell me how many meals are included in a 9 day cruise.

Staterooms were recently added to deck 10 on the Summit. Wondering if being directly under Cosmos Lounge is noisy in the evenings?

Here's an Uber question...when we visited Copenhagen last August Uber service had been outlawed. We are returning this fall (back to the wonderful Bethel!) and we wonder if Uber has been allowed back into Copenhagen.

I booked a balcony on the Gem through a travel agent on Monday. On Tuesday it was offered $300 cheaper. I asked the agent to get me the refund. I was told that NCL would only give me OBC equal to 25% of the difference or $75. I have to think that,as a Platinum customer they would have made a fairer offer. Since I used an agent they refused to deal directly with me. Two points are apparent here...first using an agent is worthless. Second I will never trust the cruise line to deal fairly in their pricing. I have been overcharged and I don't like it!!!

I very much appreciate the replies and am duly making notes. We've just come back from a wonderful 17-day cruise (Regent: Med), and I'm missing cruising already, so I thought just to scratch the itch I'd look ahead to next year. Not necessarily thinking of trying to book just yet, just gathering ideas so that I can do some research on suggestions.

 

 

 

I'd forgotten, btw, to mention that we're elderly, so hauling around on bus and train isn't our thing anymore.

Looks like these suites are directly above the nightclub. Wondering if music and noise carries?

Is the Uber service similar to how it is in the States? Will the existing Uber app on my cell phone work in Rome? Are there adjustments necessary?
