Perhaps those of you who've had a retreat cabana on the Noordam, could you please tell me if there is an elevator to the Retreat area? I don't see one in the deck plans.
Thanks!

Taking a cab it'll be.
Thanks all!

hi,
We were originally booked on a Eurodam repositioning cruise from Quebec City to Fort Everglades and then staying on for a 14 day Western/Eastern Caribbran cruise. However the Eastern portion was chartered and we were bumped off. So with the Western portion still good (or so we thought), we booked a 10 day Southern Caribbean on the Noordam.
Shortly after we booked the Noordam, we learned that the Western portion on the Eurodam was also chartered, so we were left with an 8 day gap between the Eurodam and the Noordam. There was nothing we could find with HAL so we are now booked one the Allure of the Seas for a 7 day Eastern Caribbean. My question is about the distance between the Allure terminal and the HAL terminal. We get off the Eurodam and get on the Allure the same day. Can we walk over to the other terminal with our luggage or do we need to take a cab?

We were booked on this cruise as we'll. I am mobility challenged , so I need to book cruises as far out as possible in order to get one of the few accessible staterooms that are available. It's very disappointing, but we have scrambled and are booking a 10 day Southern Caribbean on the Noordam to replace the cancelled Eastern leg.

Thanks cbr663, I tried your suggestion and did get in the back way. Though not as simple as the My Reservations way, at least we are able to check on added shore excursions. Must be a glitch on HAL's system, although it's strange it didn't affect everyone.

Called HAL and after about an hour on the phone with 3 different people, ended up with a very helpful gentleman. He couldn't see our bookings either, although his software let him know that we had 2 active bookings. He was at a bit of a loss to explain this glitch. He gave us his direct number and if things are not resolved by tomorrow morning, we'll give him a call and carry on from there.

Is anyone else having trouble accessing their reservations on the HAL website? Our reservations have dropped off the face of the Earth and when I plug in our booking numbers it can't find them. I know when they do maintenance on the website you often can't access your reservations, but usually there's a warning on the website.

I just happened upon this thread. When we were on the Zuiderdam on the Sunfarer cruise in October, Captain Turner informed us that the Zuiderdam would no longer be doing Alaska cruises in 2015 but would be going over to Europe. We were sad, as we love to take the Z out of Vancouver.
-
Sorry you had issues. We just sailed 37 days on the Zuiderdam getting off October 28, and we had a terrific time. We noticed some decline in food quality in the Lido, but nothing to stop us from returning to her. I do know on other times we have sailed on her others have not had an enjoyable time while we were extremely happy with our time on her. Luck of the draw I guess. I would still recommend her.

Does anyone have photos of the balcony in either of these staterooms? We are thinking about a cruise in 2015, and I need to know if this balcony can accommodate my scooter and three friends.
-
I have the same scooter. I've found that although it doesn't have a backup alert beep, people around you will make the backup beep noise for you. So we all end up smiling.

Just wondering, does this room have a coffee machine or just a coffee maker?

Thanks so much for the photos. We're sailing on her in October and I was a little concerned about the amount of room I would have for my scooter. You've made me so happy!

Thanks for the quick reply on the elevator! One last question. I use a smaller mobility scooter. Do you think I'll fit in the elevator?
