Typically DCL ships have Christmas themeing from the beginning of November though the cruise that sails over New Years.

I'd expect all the Christmas activities/events to be onboard.  If you do a search for Disney Navigator you'll find links to past Navigators and can look them over to get an idea of what sorts of activities there may be onboard.

Great idea to check the navigator! Thank you!

  2. We’re booked on the the Nov 2022 Magic from San Juan to Galveston. Due to the time of year, any insight on Christmas or holiday events and themes? The cruise isn’t listed as themed but sails at the same time as holiday themes are occurring on other ships.

any insight from those who have sailed repositioning around this time?

Last night we booked a disney cruise through Costco Travel for March, 2022. This is our first cruise.

What next? Do we book meals, extras, etc. through Costco Travel or use the Cruise Line Confirmation Number to do so through Disney?

    Thanks!

     Booked through them, too.

on your confirmation email there will be a Disney cruise confirmation number. Use the Disney cruise website or app to add that reservation to your account.

Once you’ve paid in full (and a certain number of days in advance of your cruise)  you will be able to book activities etc through the Disney cruise app or website.

    I hope this helps!

  4. I just finished a gluten free week on the Reflection and it was the best cruise dining experience I've had.

I have celiac and have to be very careful with what I eat. In Blu, the waiters were careful to point out everything that was gluten free, offered me gluten free bread nightly, and asked the chef to prepare some dishes just for me.

The Oceanview cafe has plenty of options (GF toast and pizza were always available) and any of the options were labeled in other areas ( Aquaspa cafe). The Porch and Bostro on Five didn't have very many options for me, but I never went hungry and didn't have any celiac issues on the entire cruise.

I've been on other cruise lines where I had to eat plain grilled chicken breast with a baked potato for every dinner. I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy soups, sauces, and a a variety of delicious dishes.

  5. Hello! We just got off the Reflection and I was so impressed with everything. Service, food, drinks, and ship were all amazing.

I am gluten free (not by choice) and usually have a difficult time eating while on vacation. We ate most meals in Blu, and I was so happy to have many choices every day. In the Oceanview cafe, gluten free bread and pizza (made to order) were always available.

All soups (at least in Blu) were GF, and taste and quality were not compromised.

I will write more later, but I just had to share my satisfaction!

  6. Just got off Reflection too... premium upgrade was well worth the $10/day! We upgraded through our TA , however X was offering upgrades once onboard.

We loved the ability to try out drinks. I agree with the other post about trying wine at dinner - fabulous! I also enjoyed a few espresso drinks a day which were delicious.
